I think the Dingoo draws a fixed amount of power, but iīm not so sure. Some people frying their Dingoos may be an indicator that the Dingoo draws what it can get, right?

Why do I need this? Its an 1800mah lipo battery which should be loaded maximum at about 1c which is 1800mah. And the battery will load faster with 1000mah charger than with the 700mah one, or whats wrong?
you forgot about the charging circuitry, as it's a lithium battery the current has to be carefully controlled to stop it from breaking (exploding, setting alight etc etc), can't be bothered to work out the actual values of safe charging etc, but it's safe to say it's limited below what the charger can supply, to account for fluctuations in mains, and the rest of the dingoo needing power while it's charging

but that's all a tad technical really, simple version is it probably doesn't require teh full 500mA form a usb port, so obviously wouldn't use anything extra  (if i get time i'll measure it sometime  :D)

As long as the output doesn't oscillate all over the place (*cough* dingoo charger *cough*) then use whatever you like, usb port on a pc, phone charger etcetc (mine always stays charged as It's hardly ever unplugged from my development pc, HTC charges definitely work aswell

Double money!  :o
WH in the serial number of a black one is weird indeed, all black ones i heard of had a BK in it. Very silly mistake you shameless Dingoo-fakers!  >:(
Have you got problems with NeoGeo, Skyline?
Well, I don't know of any good NeoGeo games (didn't play arcade machines as a kid), nor do I know where to get ROMs for them, nor do I know how to convert them. And no, I'm not asking how to get Neo-Geo ROMs. I'm sure I could Google it if I so desperately needed them. However, I definitely do not know how to convert them to use on the Dingoo.

I'll be damned - I grabbed Neo Drift Out (or whatever it's called) to try the pixelation issues, and I experience them. Dammit!

Which reinforces my statement in another thread:

Big bummer.  :-\
And thatīs why i think this is not a dead horse DDU, people expect a fully working Dingoo when they buy one for the regular price.

Big questions are:
  • 1. How to be sure you get a regular one?
  • 2. Which sellers sell "real" ones?
  • 3. How to know you're probably gonna be ripped off?
  • 4. Which sellers sell "fake" ones?

Some answers so far:
3. Probably eBay.
4. DealExtreme and ShopTemp (probably same company) have been reported to ship the A320WH9330047 fake.

Naming and shaming anyone?
Finally got me a new Dingoo after I Kentucky ~~::fried::~~ the other one. Yippee! [edit] And lost it!

I can confirm ShopTemp is not DealExtreme. ShopTemp is a separate company and is affiliated with GBAtemp via the GBAtemp Network. However, while they did guarantee the Dingoos they sell are not HK (which is true), they are some other model which is not a "real" Dingoo.

Apparently shoptemp and dealextreme themselves were suppose to sell "real" units from DD. DD has said that DT is fake (and vice versa). But DDU and many other places sell stuff from DT claiming they are the "real" ones. It's a bunch of wacky rage inducing bullshit that will never be figured out. Where have you been? Read the other threads on this board.

Can anyone actually confirm if current, recent "real" units from DD (and not DT or whoever else) actually work with the native Neogeo emulator? If they don't, then there probably isn't much reason to worry about where you are getting your Dingoo. As skyline said, other than the Neogeo problem his "A320WH9330047" Dingoo works perfectly. I bet you are just as likely to get a defective, non-functioning unit from either side (the "real" and the "fake").

There was nothing really wrong with HKs, or DT's "fake" stuff, and apparently there's nothing really wrong with these new A320WH9330047 "fake" ones. That "your shit will explode if you try to use it" stuff they are saying is BS. They said that about the HKs and DT too.

WHAT is a "real" one?

IMHO all newer dingoos made by any firm, have that neogeo pixelation issue.
It seems to be a change in the ingenic CPU, that would need modification in the emulator.
This modification was not made by anybody.

It would be interesting if anybody with a recent dingoo does NOT have the neogeo pixelation.

Regarding most shops selling Dingoo Tech A320 ... I highly doubt it.
dealextreme.com and shoptemp.com both sell HUGE amounts ... and both are NOT selling DT A320s

regarding the lack of answers to simple questions asked about their products, I start to doubt DTs competence ...
They STILL ship their units with a HACKED Firmware from 2009!!

so do dingoo digital  :P

it seems any dingoo after the first lot of ili_9331 ones have certain issues, but thanks to various people here every variant works the same, so who cares if a certain dingoo is 'fake' what's real anyway?

This is why I wrote

But the neogeo pixelation is really a nasty problem.
But than again I assume that ALL newer dingoos show it.

I am really happy that I have one of the first 9331 devices, which is at the very end of the good devices.
Some weeks later I would have gotten more trouble with my A320 ;)
