Quite lost about SPMP8000 devices ...?
« on: September 19, 2010, 05:21:24 pm »
Hello,

I am interrested in buying one of the numerous spmp8k device...but I'm totaly lost !
I searched the forum but I couldn't make up my mind !

We can read everywhere that most of them (all ?) have problem with key mapping, emulator quality and so ...
One that was interesting me (pxp2000) have horrible review on youtube saying that emulators doesn't stop crashing with bad key mappings.

I was figuring that among these device i was the same emulators ....I guess that I'm wrong ?
Is it possible to "take" an emulator from a "good working software" to put it on another device ?

Concerning the bad key mapping ...is it some way to "cure it" ?

The 3 devices that look interresting for me are :
pxp2000 (4.3" with a small form factor.....but crappy software it seems)
letoocl (3.5" ...but with 2 controllers :))
JXDV3 (4.3" nice form factor and screen protection ...but no L and R :s)

I would suggest the Letcool.  It looks the best from what I have seen.  I bought one recently from Chinavasion.  And recently they have updated the firmware to 2.1, which fixes the button mapping and emulation a little of SNES games.  I think GBA games still need improvement, though.  I think the L and R buttons are still mapped incorrectly to the volume control.  I still highly recommend it, though.
