Problem with Doom in N350JP

Hey guys :)
I placed the .bin file of doom in my letcool and when i start it the normal black screen with the white letters appear.
The problem is that everything shows but the "press x button to..." and the letcool crashes and i need to reset it :l
any ideas? maybe if i instal the new firmware? btw do i need a memory card to instal the new firmware?

Did you place the Doom.wad in the same directory as the bin game?

I only have the doom.bin file O_o
