This should be possible although not too easy. As always the only way I can think of to get further information is to load the firmware (preferably these files with debug info) into IDA. I found this in my collection of notes:
Code: [Select]
#define CLOCK_BASE 0x90005000
#define CLOCK_CONTROL (*(volatile uint8_t*)(CLOCK_BASE + 0x28))
#define SET_ARM_RATIO 1
// #define SET_ARMAHB_RATIO 2
#define SET_ARMAPB_RATIO 4
// #define SET_SYS_RATIO
// #define SET_SYSAHB_RATIO
#define SET_SYSAPB_RATIO 8

#define ARMCLK_RATIO (*(volatile uint8_t*)(CLOCK_BASE + 0xd0))
#define ARMCLK_AHB_RATIO (*(volatile uint8_t*)(CLOCK_BASE + 0xd4))
#define ARMCLK_APB_RATIO (*(volatile uint8_t*)(CLOCK_BASE + 0xd8))

#define SYSCLK_RATIO (*(volatile uint8_t*)(CLOCK_BASE + 0x100))
#define SYSCLK_AHB_RATIO (*(volatile uint8_t*)(CLOCK_BASE + 0x108))
#define SYSCLK_APB_RATIO (*(volatile uint8_t*)(CLOCK_BASE + 0x10c))
May serve as a starting point. I don't have my device handy so I currently cannot test anything.

Привет, Друзья! Hello friends! I'm from Russia, from the familiar site handheld.freeforums.org. I want to tell you that Ovurlok processor has long existed! There are two types of modified FRM. To lower the CPU (saves battery and brake SEGA and GBA - bull shit), and to increase the frequency (does not quite stable, but the results in heavy games GBA obvious!) Default CPU frequency 297 Mhz

http://upwap.ru/2818442 243 Mhz
http://upwap.ru/2818444 348 Mhz

I'm sorry for my English, Google TRANSLATE helped me. Direct links, file sharing in Russian, but there is one button "Download" (in Russian it Скачать) so understand.

Just ask your console this FRM! Suitable for all consoles on the processor spmp8k

Possible. Please, write what you have a problem with emulation. Although universal patch, the results can be different! I don't have Letool. I have a sharp increase in FPS Doom for GBA!!

I am not the author of this patch. By SEA. He also has you on the forum, you can send them a private message.

Bamboori, Unpack the FRM and sewed (this word is clear??) their firmware. It's simple.

Sorry for my english, I see that Google Translate is not exact, but it's better I do not say. d_smagin, Thanks!

well what i tried was simply putting all the files onto my sd card and run the exe once, without entering or changing anything. it froze up on me... but - it may be my imagination - it seems a little faster... not powerful enough for f-zero (would be awesome if that would be possible), but i think i see an fps improvement.

F-Zero, I think that the problem is not in the CPU and in a bad emulator SNES. I DON'T sewed through their console from  MicroSD. The Chinese have closed this opportunity on my console.

he can not die because the kernel is a limit to 350MHz, use the FRM.EXE order that would restore the device

That types of handhelds can't be killed.
Try flashing normal firmware.

Firmware: http://defender.ru/userfile/drivers/SXB1G-ZI6mmm-firmware-v3.zip
Flashing tool: http://defender.ru/userfile/drivers/21417-LJ8frm-updater-1.3.0.6.zip
Instruction how to flash in English is inside. If you reset your console with X pressed it will be put in service mode and will be recognized via USB as a special device. Then you can flash it safely.
