New firmware and memory card (help)

Hey guys can somebody tell me if i need a memory card to install firmware 2.1?
i read the 2 topics of that propose here and they were talkking about placing files in memory card :x

Yes, you need a memory card. You place the new firmware on the root of the card, switch the memory to the card then update in the settings menu. There is a firmware flashing program for Spmp8000 devices but I don't know if it works for Letcool.
