Need help with jxd 200B
« on: January 19, 2015, 04:00:45 pm »
Hello , i recently found a old jxd200B tried to turn it on and it seems someone messed up the firmware it wont boot so i downloaded firmware from jxd and here is the strange thing when i try to put the device into boot mode to flash it , it get recognized as two unknown devices , the frm pro has a folder called driver but i cant seem to use to update those unknown devices it gets a error saying this is not windows 7 x64 compatible.

searched around a bit and found a few guides on how to flash this thing but they all are for windows xp 32bit

any ideas what to do ? it looks pretty sweet small and portable

wow this actually worked the player is working fine now , it is very small and nice to use but emulation is garbage emulates only nes and cant adjust volume for it so plays at full volume

i am searching around for any custom made mods , i hope to find one better than stock

I'm pretty sure that JXD200B can play nes, snes, smd, gb, gba and spmp8k homebrew. Look this video:

lod757, can you post some pic of your JXD200B device?
wow that is pretty shocking , i have got the same device like him but my firmware is different and has none of those options hes got damn it :( , will post the firmware detail and player screenshots in a few minutes, I just love the size of this , i had the jxd 1000 before and it was too big and fat to use anywhere

Let's hope this is the firmware's fault. We have another two firmware here so there is no reason to not try it ;)

http://www.jxd.cc/downloads/detail/58

thanks for the link will download those and try as well , the one i am running now is the 200B.rar i got from jxd.cc website its named
200B-1244-8m16-3052D-935B-U0E

although the emulation of nes is annoying with full sound it does look nice and feels like a nes machine lol since only options available are start and reset here is a pic of castlevania L & R buttons move left and right in the game haha.

Those new firmwares are no-go frm does not detect the device i think this one is not meant for spmp8000 stuff its a smpmp3052

There is also this firmware that it says uses the spmp3052... you know, if you want :)

http://www.jxd.hk/download.asp?id=59&selectclassid=020001

This is a different firmware. It ends with 3052C

i tried that one they did not include a bootloader file in it so it wont flash ends up in some error while creating rsv image file.

none of those 20 sunplus games work as well must be the worst firmware ever , i can do with nes games only wish there was a way to lower the volume while playing it just blasts at full volume.

Just to update on the situation i have been trying various firmwares for the spmp3052 and found out that
the following device frimware works as well
jxd 300b
jxd 661
the firmware meant for spmp3052d is the easiest to flash other versions must have a Aimg and Bimg or else flashing fails.

Apart from the change in the boot animation and theme havent found any improvements like playing bin files or other formats or reduce volumes, i wish there was some custom user made frimwares

You may want to check out mympx.org/forum to try and find themes or mods. Its a pretty broad forum, so you may have a bit of searching to do.

yeah i did search around a bit and found that spmp3052a had a frimware version that actually played other types than nes but cant seem to find a download link for that similar frimware version here is the text where they discuss this
"jbaconnh:
Odd.I have this unit which uses the Sunplus spmp3052a
DealExtreme sku#14785
Same fw version 4.01.081017
Plays NES, GB, GBC and BIN games perfectly fine.Supposibly there is a fw upgrade to support SNES and GBA games but have not found it yet.
I've uploaded the firmware."

These players were popular btw the 2007-2009 era before the spmp8000 series came so most links are dead damn
