JXD200 - JXD's answer to the Dingoo
« on: June 05, 2010, 02:16:44 am »
Yes read the title, it's some sort of Dingoo clone and a new product of JXD. It's been out for quite a short while, though I just discovered it a while before posting this...

Seems to have quite a few nifty features it has HD, plays Windows Media files, emulators (typical although there are some problems, see MP4Nation thread link below.) etc.

And from the looks of it lacks shoulder buttons... So SNES and GBA fans out.

I thought so too, but wouldn't you believe it's also a Sunplus 80xx device, same as Letcool?

gibberish, so does everyone else, almost every cheap pmp whatsit could be awesome, if it only had decent dpad, buttons, and at the least a good sdk for homebrew etc  >:(

Love the paw prints and the craptacular looking firmware! Doggies running in the grass and icons pegged on a clothesline! :o Wonderful stuff that.

The Letcool is the only contender to the Dingoo in my opinion, will be interesting to see how it develops.

Those shoulder-buttons almost look worse than the A320s shoulder-buttons.

And so there is... and seeing this as a Sunplus 80xx device this might be a decent rival to the Dingoo and Letcool devices...

Completely agree.  Even though some of these companies get some decent hardware powering their device, they always mess up on the most important part, the controls.  That's why I'm excited for the Letcool, since it seems they got it right.  Well, technically, Nintendo got it right, but still.   :P

Have seen these on Aussie E-BAY going for half the price af the A320. Have ignored them till now because like most people i thought they didnt have shoulder buttons. If Letcool homebrew takes off(these should be compatable) this could be a cheap Aternative  for my two kids.

Heh I think they even acknowledged that the controls were courtesy of Nintendo by printing "Designed in Japan" on the back ;).

Maybe someone would actually buy it if it didn't have the crappiest looking buttons and the *flambouyant* theme.
