it's not the same, it runs on different hardware and the emulators are pants.
the dingoo runs an ingenic JZ4732, whereas this runs the SPMP8000, so they're completely different beasts.

also, this was out a long time before the a330...

Oh. So the Dingoo isn't an SPMP8000 device? Can someone do a hard/soft/firmware comparison of the A330 and this JXD? Oh, I also found this: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.39270
I gotta stop posting these things.

Dingoo a320/a330 are Ingenic/Chinachip (MIPS-based CPU) devices
Letcool/JXD/SPMP8000 are Suncom PMP 8000 (ARM-based CPU) devices

That product you linked in your original post is just another PSP-styled SPMP8000, much like the JXD 1000/2000 devices.

You can find a nice list of these devices over at http://pspkox.wikia.com/wiki/Where_to_buy_SPMP8000%3F

Now, stop filling the board with these topics every time you find a new device on Deal Extreme :D

What the hell do these companies have against the standard, traditional D-Pad? The D-Pad is tried & tested, well liked and just makes sense - don't USE 4 SEPARATE BUTTONS FOR MOVEMENT CONTROLS!!! While you're at it; no more pink consoles, no crappy cameras and how about one product with ongoing support as opposed to 15 products with no support.

Take that Chinese PMP producers!
