SDL Terminal
Adapted benob's terminal.

epMEDIA 0.4 (audio player) trash, see Gmu player below
Got epMEDIA to work. It's slow, prone to crash, but better than nothing.

Download

How to install:
1. Unpack and copy somewhere (/boot/local/home/epmedia_rs90, for example).
2. Create file /boot/local/home/.gmenu2x/sections/applications/epmedia
Code: [Select]
title=epMEDIA
description=Media player
icon=/boot/local/home/epmedia_rs90/icon.png
exec=/boot/local/home/epmedia_rs90/epmedia.sh
selectorbrowser=false
Change paths accordingly.
3. Restart gmenu2x.

Shoutouts to @bbruno5 for his work.

Gmu music player 0.10.1
Introducing the improved build with following enhancements:
- libmpg123 1.25.13 with no hiccups
- libmodplug 0.8.9.0
- settings saved in ~/.config/gmu/gmu.conf
- proper(?) control scheme

About epMEDIA 0.4 (audio player)

When I run it, it returns me to the desktop after a few seconds without entering it, what could it be due to? No error appears, the icon appears, description, text ... so the folder and shortcut are correct. The application does not open, I have extracted the contents of the epmedia_rs90.tar.gz file and generated the epmedia file, the paths seem correct, try to open it and there is no way. Is there a way to turn it into opk? Or can it be solved in some way?

Perhaps permissions got lost on the way. Try executing:
Code: [Select]
chmod a+x epmedia_rs90/epmedia.sh
Is there a way to turn it into opk?
Not until I try to build GMU. I don't think it's worth it.

Thank you very much Tonic, it has worked! :) when doing it from windows the rights were lost, I have been able to solve it with "chmod a + x epmedia_rs90 / epmedia.sh" from the Benob SDL Terminal.
As you comment, that is better than nothing until GMU can be used. Again a great job, thanks! ;)

Just turn it into an OPK, there's no point to release it if nobody can use it. It's not that hard to do.

Added Gmu music player.

Some notes:
libmpg123 needs to be configured with --with-cpu=generic_nofpu flag, or hiccups will happen.
Select+L didn't work for some reason so I set modifier key to Start.
After I finally managed to build libopenmpt it had occupied a whopping 52 MB of storage space (2 MB with debug symbols stripped) and was too slow.

Yes, that key combo is not possible due to a hardware limitation.

wine for rs90
How? With magic? ???

Not going to work. Believe me. There is no way to stuff a full-fledged Intel processor into that thing.

Just to clear things up: I'm not taking requests, at least not in this thread. There is already a wish list thread on this board.

sorry, but that thread is junk.
post your ultimate wish and then you get either no answer or a extremly offensive message by the creators such as gameblabla.
it is so arse, that he doesn't forfill my darn wishes

Well, it's just that this handheld is one of the least popular one out of Ingenics (new bittboy costs the same, others are better in every way and can run stuff without crunchy downscaling), so there is little to no people who are willing to develop stuff in their free time.

Out of stuff that you have posted on that thread, I might have enough knowledge (gotta learn SDL) and resourses to port:
- a calculator
- a text reader

No promises though, unless someone would give me 10-20 times more free time. ;)

no.
we should really take a break from these Master Handlelds and go to the more weak handhelds such as the RS90 or the Pap k3 plus.
It is just Killing me, that those maggots don't have feelings for all the people, who want to save money and don't want to spend more on a better one.

This isn't a request thread, so stay on topic.

People who port software (to whichever device) are doing so as volunteers/hobbyists and have no obligation to fulfill your requests.

A little bit of patience and gratitude goes a long way.
