ReGBA 2020.10.07 for RS-90 / GCW-Zero / RG-350(M)
« on: October 13, 2020, 06:32:12 pm »
Here's a new release of ReGBA for the RS-90, and the GCW-Zero / RG-350(M) provided they run mainline OpenDingux (see https://zcrc.me/opendingux/2020/10/13/we-have-nighties.html)

It is a bugfix release. The previous build had a nasty bug, that would corrupt the main savestate file if you exited a game before saving. It also makes the savestate mechanism much more robust.

On the GCW-Zero / RG-350(M) it should have a much better performance, as it's been compiled to support huge pages.

Excellent thanks, I've had the odd performance issue with the old version on the Playgo.

EDIT: Works fine on the RS90 but crashes back to gmenu2x on the Playgo.

the latest rs90-update-2020-10-15.opk update is not working on mine as it causes the loading screen to loop. will the latest reGBA update saving features work with the rs90-update-2020-10-04.opk firmware?

I was just able to replicate the same problem as before with reGBA where my Pokemon Ultra Violet save gets corrupted. If I would turn off the console soon after saving, it wouldn?t save so I would load the previous save. Then I tried exiting the emulator after saving, which caused my save to get corrupted again.

Is there a way to prevent this issue with the sav files? Never had this issue or concern with the stock firmware:/

I guess try to reformat it, as FAT32. Make sure it has a valid partition table (Windows' format tool doesn't bother to create one if it doesn't have one already), using a third-party tool if needed, or using Linux.
