It's easier if it's just precompiled. Please?

PCSX4ALL is compiled from GCW0's because its performance is better than old:
https://github.com/dmitrysmagin/pcsx4all

Perofrmance is good but not best.
FPS around 30fps
Yay!
Did you use 'make -f Makefile.gcw0 A320=1' command?
30 fps is well enough, way better than on Dingoo A320 which was barely playable. Gcw0 is twice as fast (CPU clock around 1GHz) than RS-97.
Could anyone test Castlevania Symphony of the night? ;)

under emu_testing dolder:
https://github.com/steward-fu/gh_retrogame_dev

you need use rootfs.tar in this github because all of them are compiled by new library.
you also need to remount rootfs as writable because some home_path in emu (ex: fceus) has not been modified yet
$ mount -o remount,rw / /

enjoy !

by the way, I compiled pcsx4all as pcsx4all_gcw0 (use gcw0's cflags) and pcsx4all_a320 (use a320's cflags).
if someone can help to check it whether the performance is better.
if you suffer from problem, please tell me.
thanks

Just wondering but how did you get gmenu2x to run on the  RS-97?

The instructions didn't make sense to me--i'm not a Unix dev--just a consumer who bought this device. I have no idea how to write to what or who, sorry...

currently, I am using uart to debug something (include launching app).
if so, please wait for beta_os image.
it will be more suitable for your need.

no problem. I'm just totally new to the OpenDingux/DinguxCommander scene, and have never seen tutorials on how to pull all of this off...

basically what's going to happen is that Steward is gonna make a .img file that you use dd (or the windows equivalent) to flash onto an SD card. Then the system will boot from there.

He's doing really great work and is making fantastic progress in basically no time at all, so be a bit patient lol.

No worries, i'm just pretty curious about all this.

Do i have to unscrew my rs-97 and flash on the internal memory on to its microSD--or  will dd overwrite all of the filesystems? I mean, if it's in USB mode, that could totally glitch up my system.

There's no way to brick the system
The OP has the original image so you just flash it again and it'll be like stock.

You would need to unscrew it yeah, but only if you flash the internal SD
Usually it's the external SD that's used

Yes i think Steward will give us a few options with two optional ways option 1.img to flash to internal card which you can open the device very easy i have done it many times.Or there will be files that you will have to copy on the root of your ext sd card and run it from there.
