What's the name of the partition software please or is it a secret? :)

This is what I used and it worked for free

I finally got my RS-97 from Amazon and had some time to test it. Sadly I'm not very impressed :'(

While the case itself is well made, the buttons are waaay to wobbly. I really don't know if I have a different device that you all. The shoulder buttons feel like they fall off any time   ???

The buttons on mine are wobbly too, when you shake the console you can hear them rattle which is one of my pet hates! They feel nice and are very responsive though which is what matters to me. It feels like the face buttons could do with an extra 1mm of depth to make them feel more firm.

The shoulder buttons are a weird design - they are loose in the cavity with no hinge or spring and the only thing that secures them is the extended silicon contact pad which inserts into the button. Strange design but it works fine in use. It would be pretty ease to drill through the base of the button cavity, glue a small screw or nail in there pointing upwards (probably dremel most of it off) and fix a spring on it to give some tactile pressure.

Thanks! Bizarre that the MiniTool one wouldn't work and the Aomei one, which is basically the same kind of software, didn't.

Sorry forgot to mention, it's pretty much the exact same size as the actual viewing area of the screen, I'd recommend putting it on while the console is powered on so you get it dead right. Very easy to apply too, any little pockets of trapped air disappear when you put pressure on them and when it's fitted you have to look really hard to tell there is a screen protector on at all.

Apparently it's glass yeah, it's very bendy so doesn't really feel like glass but I guess they wouldn't be able to market it as they do without it being true, here's the blurb from their website:

"BROTECT? AirGlass? Premium Glass Screen Protector
BROTECT? AirGlass? Premium Glass Screen Protector, the Extra-Hard and Ultra-Light sidekick for your device!

This glass sidekick BRO is new in Europe and contains an exclusive and revolutionary technology in screen protection - AirGlass?, exclusively offered by BROTECT?!

It is 2x thinner and lighter and therefore more flexible than all the other glass protectors on the market. And it still offers the extra strong anti-scratch hardness of glass protectors.

Its Ultra-Light properties and High-Transparency ensure you have a clear and sharp view of all the screen content, while providing a unique touch-screen sensitivity.

The BRO has an additional Anti-Fingerprint layer that prevents dirt and fingerprint smudges and ensures that they can be easily removed.

The adhesive layer ensures that the BRO glides smoothly onto your device for a bubble-free and easy installation.

The sidekick for your device is manufactured with care by our specialist team in Germany. Have fun with it and enjoy the feeling!

P.S.: Our sidekick BRO is made of real glass and still flexible! See for yourself: Twist the piece of AirGlass? remaining on the release film."

I swapped out the micro sd in mine (a 4GB Class 10 Kingston) for a 32GB Samsung Evo. Used DD and gParted without problems in Linux if anyone's interested. Hardest part for me was getting the battery cover off!! Is there a trick to it? I scraped the heck out of it whilst using the blade of a pen knife to try and seperate it from the casing.

Yes there is a trick to the madness you know them iPhone ejection SIM tools? We'll just put that in the battery cover screw hole and lift up simple.

Thanks but I've noticed something serious. Ever since I put the new micro SD in I can't access the internal storage by USB anymore. Windows make the USB connected sound but I can't do anything else.

Do you have the same problem Jutley?

Went back with another micro sd and instead of Linux I used Win32DiskImager and Minitool Partition Wizard free and all is good now.

Because of the odd resolution and the non-square pixels, no old dingix software will run properly without alteration on the RS-97 (either only half screen and shrunk or fullscreen and shrunk) :'(

Yesterday I tried a fix for the dmenu and the DinguxCommander and its working, but only for those two and it comes at a performance cost. I will try to recompile the sdl lib to include the fix to enable all old dingux programs to work. No promises!

Can you post the url to the most recent ohboy source code?

I've found two or three different branchs and I dont know which is the best or last.

edit:

just testing, it only reads roms from emulator folder and 320x480 screen is only fixed on non scaled screen option (default).
