Yo,
snes2600 merged some fixes for libretro-handy, and i brought them to my fork too.
Here are the changes :
- A fix for the flickering in Road Blasters.
- Fix for the laughing spider in Gates of Zendocon.
- Other fixes for Warbirds and Ms. Pac-man.
- EEPROM fixes. I need to check this properly though.

Many thanks to snes2600 for the upstream fixes.
It's also a fair amount smaller and runs faster.
It's so fast in fact you can downclock it to 528 Mhz and it will still run at 60FPS.

UPDATE: Tested update and button configs are saving and loading perfect now, could not get 3-D Crazy Coaster (1983) to work and a few others but Pole Postion works so i'm happy.
Yeah the 3-D games don't even work on the libretro core either. So don't expect them to be fixed.

I don't know what exactly changed in this release but now the music in all the games that I tried is really terrible and full of weird noises (California Games, Chip's Challenge, Gates of Zendocon...). Do you have a link to download old versions?

Turns out the fix for Gates's laugh broke the audio in some way. I'll revert the change and release a fixed version.

Alright, i fixed Handy again by reverting the Gates of Zendocon fix. So sadly, you won't hear his laugh anymore...
However, it still includes the other fixes (namely the Roadblasters and Ms.pacman fixes).

I have updated SMS Plus GX, here are the changes :
Code: [Select]
- Fixed save states crashes that could happen in some cases in Sonic 2.
Note that older save states might still be affected.
This was fixed by upgrading GCC from 9.1 to 9.2.
9.1 was really an awful release i must tell you.

- Added an input configuration setting.

As usual, grab the new IPK from my first post.

EDIT: Actually it did not fix the crash issue as it was unrelated and would only affect zipped roms.
So in the meantime, don't use zipped roms.

It's possible to port ZSNES emulator for IPK?

https://sourceforge.net/projects/zsnes/files/zsnes/

ZSNES is x86 only. They never completed the switch to C. In fact, they barely even started at all before the only programmer left.

Do you really want a worse, inaccurate emulator than Snes9x 1.39 ?

I have updated PCSX4ALL for the RS-97.
Here are the changes :
Code: [Select]

- Fixed some more games over HLE including but not limited to :
R-types, Crash Team Racing, Formula 1 2001 due to their use of uninitiliazed kernel memory.

- Games such as Tenka now works too and is automatically detected. (works over HLE & LLE)

- Dualshock features are supported. By default, Digital mode is enabled but you can use Dualshock mode at any time in the menu.
Some games will only support the Flightstick/DualAnalog, such as Descent Maximum.

If Analog arrows is enabled, then it will also map the left stick to Dpad.
if you press R, the face buttons will be mapped to the right stick.
Unfortunately, this doesn't work too well on Ape Escape because you constantly change the camera,
making it difficult to aim. I hope i can find a better resolution.

L2 and R2 are now mapped to Select + L / R.

Unfortunately it still likes to randomly crash from time to time... I hope i can get rid of those crashes when senquack is done with part5.
At least it saves the configuration file properly now.

I would happy to hear your suggestion for Ape Escape and the control mapping.

Thank you for the pcsx4all upate! I can play FF8 finally 'cause it uses LR2.
Another question, for the previous version of pcsx4all I can use select+start to trigger emu menu, however in your latest version I can only use power button to active the menu. Could you please  add this function for your next update?
BTW, I'm using RS-97 Plus (or RetroGame Plus), with the PCB version RGP_V1.0.
Thanks again for your effort.

This is done on purpose and intentional. RE2 uses Start + Select so there's no way around it.
It was conflicting with a lot of other games and it was very annoying.
I'm still looking into other ways of doing so but we don't have many options.

You don't want it to be L + R + Start, do you ?

Hi Gameblabla, RetroFW 2.0 was released on github yesterday, and they provided some start-pack opk apps, however pcsx4all was not included. Would you please create a pcsx4all opk for the new FW? Thank you very much.
I'm using RS-97 Plus anniversary edition console with IPS panel.

Don't worry, i am aware of it but i got no forward notice of it so please be patient, i will work on updating the old releases and switch to OPKs instead.

The new OPK releases will be made available at :
https://gameblabla.nl/files/ipk/retrofw/

So far, there's only Super Mario War. (i will change it later so it loads the assets from a directory instead as to avoid copyright issues)

PCSX4ALL was improved with IPU support in mind. (the binary was also profiled for best performance)
Unfortunately, if you were expecting great performance benefits, you would be solely disappointed.
In fact, it is pretty much similar compared to the old IPK build. (albeit a bit more stable and less prone to crashes)
Only Senquack's fork will bring significant performance benefits (not to mention improve compatibility) so yeah...

I will improve SMS Plus GX, Handy... in the same manner but don't expect ports like NGPCEmu or SwanEmu because they still run too slow. The JZ4760 is just a crap cpu, i'm sorry guys.

Btw, clock speed is set to 528 by default. Make sure to change it before running PCSX4ALL.
Also make sure to set the scaling mode to "Stretch".
