What game is this
« on: March 25, 2011, 06:04:13 pm »
A few years ago I had a nice side scrolling shoot'em up for DOS. I can't remember the name, but I do remember a few things about the game itself: screen moved from right to left, there was a complex upgrade system, player had 3 ships to chose from, the first one was a boxing glove shaped one with strong fire power, but poor speed, it was piloted by big chinned cartoon superhero, the next one was piloted by mad scientist, the ship itself was quite balanced and it fired 2 shoots at a time (on starting level), the third ship was piloted by some chick, the ship was very fast, but had weak fire power, the enemies were some kind of UFOs, the game was quite hard, I think it had a 2 player mode, apparently there were Windows and Linux ports of the game. Anyone know what is the name of the game?

Used to play it all time when I was younger. Had fun times playing it with two people.

There is another game which title I don't know.

It was a C64 where the player controlled a Sheriff in a western town. The Sheriff had to keep the town safe by killing bandits who stormed either local bank for money or local saloon for women. At one side of map there was undertaker's building and the owner took his time to bury at least some of the bandits the Sheriff killed. If the Sheriff died the undertaker would bury him instead.

I think there were some different levels later on, but I don't really remember them.

There was also a series of games about some dude in space. I think there at least three of them. Those were platformers. The main hero brandished a laser gun to kill his enemies. Graphic in those games increased gradually and was quite good in the third game.

This the one?

Not this one.

The game in question had a sort of top down map.

Edit: I found the title, it was: High Noon.
