Right i'm new here and i love retro gaming amd trying to put together a definitive list of top quality version of games ie which version of bubble bobble was the best, arcade? megadrive?? for example.

my all time favourite games are the platforms super mario obviously but what is the defining one?

so here goes? for me in my opinion

Super Mario Allstars snes
Super ghouls and goblins snes is there a better version
bubble bobble arcade cant find a better version out there
rainbow islands cant think which is the best!
street fighter 2 snes
Starwars Arcade arcade has to be
Super Mario Kart snes
R type but cant decide which one? maybe 2!! arcade again but is there a good home version
F zero snes
sonic megadrive

god sound like a fanboy of snes but its gotta be up there with one of the best??

Chrono Trigger (SNES)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
Super Mario World (SNES)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
Super Mario Bros. (NES)
Super Mario 64 (N64)
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES)
The Lost Vikings (PC DOS)
James Pond II: Codename RoboCod (PC DOS)
The Incredible Machine 2 (PC DOS)

As you see, I have two quite "unknown" games as my favs. Mostly because of nostalgia... I really recommend The Incredible Machine 2 if you like puzzle games. It's the best puzzle game I've ever tried, you need 100% brain load to finish it.
