GBA games that don't emulate well...
« on: September 19, 2011, 07:34:52 pm »
Hi

Can anyone recommend some GBA ROMs that usually cause problems in emulation?
Preferably games that either won't load or have obvious speed/graphical problems right from the beginning.

Thanks

Earthworm Jim
Golden sun (sound)
Any camelot game eg Mario golf / tennis
Chicken little
Teen Titans1+2
sigma star saga

I can get you a bigger list, is it just for dda320 or ga330

This is a list of problematic roms in gpsp for OpenDingux (most of the time also valid for nativeOS emu)

Payback (extremely slow)
Doom (slow)
Doom II (slow)
Wolfenstein 3D (does not run at all)
Driver II (slowdowns in certain parts of the level)
Duke Nukem Advance (slow)
Smashing Drive (slow)
Need For Speed - Most Wanted (slow)
Grand Theft Auto Advance (crashes on loading the map, this bug can be worked around with a savestate from a different emu)
Penny Racers (crashes on main menu)

Excellent, thanks a lot for the recommendations.
I'll post a vid with my findings in a day or so, and no this is not a Dingoo or Gemei device - something else :D

A hardware GBA clone...interesting. Price seems to be around 80 dollar for the cheaper version.
