The error message I could briefly read did say something about missing a library, and it was version 5. I think there was also a message about inotify?

Do I need to run the 1.7.9.2 update, then the fix file? (I had reinstalled the original 1.5 firmware)

The update is only for Rogue Firmware, including previous libraries.
I think version 1.5 must have the old library and the emulator should run.

the photo is the proof

@Ninoh-FOX But it comes with versions 4.1.0 atari800 https://atariage.com/forums/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=686449

oh, I see, the last code use libncurses6, I go to back, to version 5. This may fix this.

UP------

Fixed:

install this update opk please.

https://github.com/Ninoh-FOX/RG350-ROGUE-CFW/releases/1.7.9.2fix/

The problem was that someone has updated the compilation tools without taking into account this or the compatibility with what already exists (he has not been the creator of the tools for this console), compiling them separately is solved, but who does not know this  You will have problems if you try to compile something with the code as it is currently, this already gave problems also when he changed his account and risk the shake libraries, luckily I have a copy of everything.

So I need to use the flasher rather than the update opk? (i can only find the flasher from yesterday linked, no sign of anew updated opk file). Thanks for your time and assistance on this!

Yes. You can updete for flashe and later update the "patch" or try update direct from update "patch"

Thank you so much for your hard work. So exciting to see even more being pulled out of our new devices.  Particularly excited for the possible sleep feature!   ;D

I do have one question that is keeping me from updating my personal RG350.  I have 2 Units right how and one is running your latest build installed from scratch.  I have one emulator in particular, XMAME 1.3, that for some reason the start and select buttons are not recognized.  Anyone else have this issue? I've been troubleshooting but not sure if it is the CFW or XMAME 1.3 (only build I've found is for GCWZERO and has an alternative install process).  Is anyone able to run Xmame properly in this CFW, and if so do you have a link to the build of XMAME you are using?

This not is for the cfw. Xmame has the buttons with combos, If I don't remember bad, start+select is coin, I alwais change the buttons from the mame menu.

Hello everyone,
I've just got my brand new rg350 from my wife as christmas gift, so last few hours i spent reading forums and downloading roms :P
I would like to update stock firmware, i found Ninoh's version, and original? 1.5 in other thread, but i can't find anywhere any comparsion what firmware is actually better or more stable. Could You give me any hint?
I don't know if i understood instructions right, but if it's my first update, i have to put out internal sd anyway to put there sd_image.bin, or i can just simply run rg350-flasher.opk ?

Really thank You in advance,
Lukas

First off as this fw is not official it is not recommend for inexperienced users as it requires a good level of technical understanding to install and configure correctly. The image does not contain any emulators nor their configurations.

If you decide to install, strongly recommend you use a new card and keep the original. This will of course invalidate your warranty hence install at your own risk

I'm using the last custom firmware update (1.7.9.2) and some of the opk won't show up or work when I move them from the external sd card to the internal

Noticed that few of the shell scripts in /etc/init.d does not have executable status.  is that by design?

Also, how do I create a Games section?

Edit - Looks like adding the games opk into the apps folder will auto show up under the "Games" section.

RG350 firmware "Rogue" edition

Is this firmware also supposed to improve emulator performances?

Among other things, it has a small overclock that can obtain an emulator level improvement. regards

If you install an opk with Games category assigned, the section is created automatically. But you can create sections pressing SELECT in gmenu2x and "Add a section".

Hi nino i really like your work on rg 350, i'm a noob on this type of devices, so please be patient with my question:
1) your firmware missing all emulators, it has only psx4all, where i can find the others?
2) i've tried psx4all and it seems to not keep the save data, i have done something wrong? there is a documentation to check if i have evrything on the right folder?
3) i'm italian, i know you are spanish, so i want to translate the missing interface text for gmenu2x, there is a way to have a italian file and a complete english file to work on it?
4) the user interface is really chaotic, evry program has his set of command, is possibly to unify the interface command?
5) the poweroff and reboot on setting tab is really hard to find evry time, is possible to move them in another place of interface?
6) is really needed an application to change the date and time of consolle? is not possible to switch them on settings tab?
As i've said i'm a noob, but if you want i will like to help you, i just need some documentation and reference to know where to start with the issue i've pointed.
Thx for your support
