2 Once flashed resize the ext4 partition using DiskGenius only to make use of the free space on your card right click on the EXT4 partition and click resize pull the slider all the way to the right and start it will start resizing.

You could resize the partition on the device at first boot, since ext4 supports online (while mounted) resize. We did that on the GCW Zero; it makes the flash process easier for the end user.

*New UI GmenuNX optional frontend can be installed & unistalled

I'm disappointed that GMenuNX is forked from the original GMenu2X. We spent a lot of time fixing, simplifying and optimizing GMenu2X for the Zero and it seems all that effort is now being ignored.

GmenuNX is just a opk that is provided with the v1.6 update but 2x is still the default UI and they can switch from both with one click personally i prefer 2X because its simple.

Will this have an opk updater file at some point?
Lots of Handhelds but my favourite is still my GCW Zero and also RG-350, But the RG-300 is 2nd Best.

Hi! I like Gmenu2x but i want try GmenuNX, the RG Gmenu2x (And the zero version i supose) was a fork of the ben-nanonote Gmenu2x (Mantained by qi-hardware), and this one also was a fork of the original Gp2X Gmenu2X...

Then we have the next:

GP2X Gmenu2X (ARM SOC)
Gp2x Wiz Gmenu2x (ARM SOC)
Dingoo Gmenu2x
Ben nanonote Gmenu2x (Ingenic soc but not opendingux, distro based in openwrt)

And those versions just in 2010!

Somekind of "change" seems fresh for me actually, im feeling like i have a pcmasterrace running win98 :-)

But is just my opinion :-)

Thanks for the new firm version :-)

I followed the directions and had no issues that i can see. when i booted up the system the only apps and games installed were from the 1.6 update and nothing prior. the instructions said to delete all apps in the media folder which i did and copy everything from the 1.6 update over which i did. I'm sure i did something wrong somewhere just can't tell what. either way the system runs great and i'm greatful for the update. Is it not possible yet to add files via usb? if this has already been asked i apologize. also, will there be a 1.6 base full img?

Really appreciate this thanks :) If I already have 1.5 installed, I guess I skip that bit and do the app replacement section of the walkthrough only? Also, do I have to delete all of the stuff in apps or can I just add the new stuff and delete the old versions?

Having issues with the v1.6 image resizing the ext4 partition on windows it will get cluster errors I am releasing a v1.6 image for Linux user just use gpart to extend the ext4 partition untill we figure it out windows users continue to use the upgrade pack method above.

Thanks for the 1.7 update appreciate the hard work... Will there be an separate update file for those on 1.6 or will the be base image install only ?

Could we also maybe add which emulators require a BIOS in the release post / read me file ? (sorry if its already in the read me, still downloading the file) :)

I recommend v1.7 fresh install as v1.6 has errors which have now been fixes as for bios files am am sure people here will start showing where to place them but check the emulators folders they normally hint to bios placement.
