New firmware now live v1.4

Thank you very much for your work. Looking forward to the rg350 ;)

Do you think there is room to improve other emulators like MAME, Fba,...?

Depends what device you are comparing it to... FBA on this plays some titles great compared to the dingoo a320...
Dingoo A320, GCW0, RS-97 x2, Revo-K101, RS-90, PSP, GameGadget, New 3DS 128GB, PS Vita 200GB, RS-45, Gamebox Advance and a few other obscure devices

Obviously it will be better than Dingoo A320. Surely you'll want to compare emulators to GCW Zero?

I thought it was the GCW version ported to the RG350, but that said I am not a dev so have no idea to be honest.  ;D

Yes I believe it is the GCW0 versions but it would be interesting to see how the ports run in comparison to the GCW0 originals as the RG350 is a clone. I hope they are perfect ports as I no longer have the device and want to play the same emus on the RG350

I osld my GCW Zero to fund buying the RG350... The RG350 has a much nicer feel and look... I do not miss the Wifi etc from the GCW Zero... They were pointless features that were never built up on in my opinion... But again, I aint no dev.... Just a retro gamer

You are free to state your opinion. However,  stating "They were pointless features that were never built up on in my opinion" is dishonest towards the scene. People play multiplayer games via wifi and wirelessly transferring files is a great feature. The GCW Zero even has an IRC chat program and you can potentially stream audio over wifi via GMU which supports web radio.

To be fair I see your point so ill strike through the comment. However that said I am am not stating a fact just a personal opinion... My comment was not supposed to offend anyone. Lots of people here have been incredibly helpful over the years. People spend there free time to write and port apps. I have been on here since the A320 days... I backed the GCW Zero from the start. For me the GCW Zero just never reached its full potential. The gaming over Wifi sounds cool for Doom etc..

I perosnally prefer the look and feel of RG350 and feel it may get a bigger following than the GCW... They are simalar hardware...  I am guessing cheap to produce in 2019 hence the added features. I could be totally wrong, and I often am.

I bought in to lots of devices over the years that went no where. But hey sorry if I offended you or anyone else... that is not what I am about. I just like to play retro games to relive the days when I was a kid the same as most people who are retro gamers :)

No worries, I understand people can simply have different needs/preferences. Online multiplayer with old school shooters and a game like Descent is pretty fun imho. The accelerometer/G-sensor is also pretty much overlooked and is a great addition to games like Descent, Neverball and Enigma.

Hey all,

Has anyone tested the Open BOR on CFW 1.4 ?

It just opens, shows the splash screen, then closes for me... On Stock it is fine.

Thanks

I have a lot of PAK files so I will remove them one by one and see if that helps... IF not may be the card indeed :)

Thanks for checking

Compared to the OPK Pack you had available for download earlier, this one is missing quite a few emulators.

Thats because they are already preinstalled stock apps those are not inc because it will only confuse people they will end up with double icons. If you want the stock opk files that are preinstalled you can always get them from my server below the pack is only for new and tested items from gcw ports :)

Can anyone please share how to install this modded "Dingux Commander v2.1 (Chinese)" to RG350 (which folder in internal sd to put the files)? As it comes with .dge file, nok OPK and being new to OpenDingux.. I'm totally clueless. Thanks in advance!

https://pdroms.de/dingoodigitaltechnology-dingoo/dingoodigitaltechnology-dingoolinuxdingux/dingux-commander-v2-1-chinese-support-dingoo-linux-application

Backgroup: My RG350 set was purchased via Taobao China; with different Base firmware. After I successfullly flashed the set with RG-350_v1.4_BASE_121019 Firmware, I noticed built-in DinguxCmdr app can no longer show external microSD files that are in Chinese file naming (text is replaced by Squared box) :(  p.s. earlier before flashing, DinguxCmdr app able to show filename in Chinese..
