Looked into it some with some other people over discord and the PSP was MIPS based, but it's a bit more like trying to run PS2 on the thing it seems,  some games could swing it, as the scale was like 33mhz on the low end, but on the high end it would be too much to do at a playable rate it seems.  Never know tho, like ya said.  It's technically doable, just wouldn't run too many at full speed.

Few things on my wishlist:

- L2/3 R2/3 mapping in all emulators
- Turbo/Fast Forward functionality in all emulators
- A proper Retroarch with equivalent cores (a guy can dream)
- CPS3 speed-up (4fps currently)

On my wishlist are mainly a good port of current Snes9x version, which will support unsupported games like Tengai Makyou Zero.

The english translation won't work but the original japanese release should work. This is because the translation team did not properly made the rom and they never fixed it from what i gather. Newer Snes9x somewhat fixed this by some sort of a hack.
Perhaps it could be merge-able.

I have a fork of snes9x2005 which is standalone that i made here :
https://github.com/gameblabla/snesemu

Runs fullspeed on the Retrostone, even for Super FX games so once i get my RG-350 and profile it, i'm sure we can get decent performance.
I will have to add some joystick support for the RG-350 though. What do you think the two analogs should be used for ?

Hi all

New here,  I have had the rg350 for about a week and am running 1.4 firmware.  Is there any chance you can do anything with the battery indicator? I was thinking having the led flash or something when its about to run out?

Hi, gameblabla!  Is it possible to port XASH to our device in order to launch Half-Life 1 and its mods?

Some additional things that I would be glad to have fixed.

GMenu:
I would love to have the volume saved, so I would not have to lower it each time I reboot.

FBA and Xmame
- possibility to get back to the rom list from the games (now I have to reset the device all the time I want to load another rom)
- maybe a possibility to redefine buttons ingame

My bad, L+R+Start does everything I need...

eDuke:
- the horizontal axises looks less sensitive than the vertical ones. The turning is much faster than looking up and down, same as going back or forward is much slower that stepping left or right. (It works flawlessly in Shadow Warrior, so it's not the device's fault.) If you set the control schema to "GWC style", moving back and forward is much faster.
- in the keyboard setup you can set functions for R2, R3, L2 and L3, they actually work, but it shows "-" (as unassigned) in the menu

Shadow Warrior:
- in the keyboard setup you can set functions for R2, R3, L2 and L3, they actually work, but it shows "-" (as unassigned) in the menu

Quake 1:
- No dual analog support. You can use only the left analog and Y,X,B,A buttons to move. It would be nice to have a proper "new style controller schema", move with left stick, look and turn with right stick.
- R2, R3, L2 and L3 is not supported. Quake 2 would make a great use of those extra keys.   :)

Will check it more, I just have the machine since Friday.
Thanks for whoever fixes those!    :)

Here is the info for GCW Zero FBA which this is a port of.... Hope it helps  :)

Hello.
Here's the release of FBA SDL 0.2.97.35 for GCW-Zero.

From now on the FBA and its frontend are merged in one application.

Romlist.

Frontend settings (START).

Individual game settings (A).

First start

On first start you'll see a long red list of all roms that could be played. Attention, red means that these roms are missing, press START to enter Config menu where you can change rom show mode (all, available only, missing only) and set paths to search roms for. Found roms are shown in yellow, clone roms are orange.

Now choose a game and press A, you'll enter Game settings menu:

Sound - off, libao, SDL, SDL old
Audio sample rate - 11025, 16000, 22050, 32000, 44100
Vertical sync - off, on
Show fps - off, on
68k emu core - a68k, c68k, m68k
Analogue sensitivity - 0..100%

Vertical sync
If on, FBA will benefit from hardware-perfect scrolling but this may drop down fps to 30 or even lower. Recommended for cps1/cps2/neogeo games. If off you'll get tearing.

a68k - its an 68000 emulation core written for fba4psp in mips assembler and adapted for GCW-Zero. It has slightly less compatibility than others.
c68k - a very fast portable 68000 emulation core, however, it can't run protected games (sega ones that use FD.... protection). Recommended.
m68k - accurate 68000, 68010 and 68EC020 core, slower than previous ones. Recommended for all Psikyo titles and protected Sega games.

Note that not all games use M68000 cpu, so this setting may not affect them at all.

Analogue will work only for those games which support it (e.g. outrun); for others it has no effect.

FBA in-game controls:
D-PAD - movement (its logic changes automatically in rotated games)
SELECT - coin
START - start1
SELECT+START - start2
A - fire 1
B - fire 2
X - fire 3
Y - fire 4
L - fire 5
R - fire 6

L+R+Y - show/hide fps
L+R+A - quick state load
L+R+B - quicl state save
L+R+SELECT - service menu
L+R+START - FBA SDL menu (you can quit FBA only from menu)

If u need some kind of selector with images etc.

Maybe someone can port the misato's selector from wiz (include source) and put the images like in lemonboy for wiz

Wow... That is good idea, did any of the other emulators have anything like for displaying cover art, titles or screen shots?

If this could be done that would be great... maybe even incorporate this kind of selector into a GUI / front end menu or something :)

OpenBOR updated version is on my wishlist.

The one that comes pre-installed is way outdated and crashes very often.

Honestly, highly appreciated if any developer does this.

Apologies if this is already there, but I couldn't find anything like it on the RG350. A port of power switch daemon would be great since it supports potting the device into a suspend state with a power button wake.

I've never had an opendingux device prior to the RG350, so it?s possible that I?m misunderstanding its functionality, but the ability to suspend the device during game play (like most other mainstream handhelds) would be awesome.

My first computer was the Spectrum 48K (originally aimed for the ZX81 but by the time I've saved enough pocket money, the Spectrum came along), and upon the release of CPC464 I immediately sold it and upgraded.

As for the CPC464 emulator on the RG350, wouldn't it be near impossible given you need a keyboard?

I believe Caprice32 was released for GCW Zero... They normally have a virtuall keyboard, but the RG350 has 2x USB-c so in theory maybe a keyboard could be added?? I dont know as I aint a dev just throwing it out there

I think Caprice32 was for GCW Zero... Maybe there is an OPK you could try?

Faster 3DO emulation.
But I downloaded the source code to figure out if I can do anything myself.
Maybe I'll try to profile it to see where is the performance killer.
