Game File Locations
« on: November 14, 2019, 10:24:59 pm »
There's a few file locations listed for the games in the bitgala server (https://rs97.bitgala.xyz/RG-350/localpack/) but there's still some that aren't covered and I'm having trouble getting to work. Does anyone know the location and files (including case sensitivity as I found that was important) that need to be copied for the following games:

Quake Dissolution of Eternity
Quake Scourge of Armagon
Rise of the Triad (Dark War)
Hexen
Heretic
Strife
Doom (assuming the version included is the shareware)
Doom II

My Portable Devices: Sega Game Gear, PSP 3000, PS Vita, Nvidia Shield Portable, GPD Win, GPD XD+, Bitboy V1, Coolboy RS-97, PAP KIII Plus, LDK Landscape, 1Up-Pix Portable Landscape (RPi 3B+), Anbernic RG-350.

Quake is case sensitive.

/media/data/Quake/hipnotic/pak0.pak
/media/data/Quake/id1/pak0.pak
/media/data/Quake/id1/pak1.pak
/media/data/Quake/rogue/pak0.pak

Doom- I use "Odamex" for all stock wads, put the wads where you like.

Sorry, no. I've tried to get it working, but like Hexen2 (I assume) there must be something wrong with the port.

If someone has either ROTT or Hexen2 working on the RG-350 please let us know what we are missing.

Cheers.

Can one of you offer any assistance on Doom? I have the doom.wad but i don't know where to put it.

Check out Odamex

Put the wad anywhere you like then navigate to it.

Nope, it isn't having it.  I have dropped the wad in both /media/data/local/share/games/doom and /media/data/local/home/ but the game doesn't see it.
I can get a game out of prdoom but oddly that doesn't allow me to switch weapons. It appears the dev is looking at chocolate doom though so I may get a game out of it soon.

Nevermind. I've found prboom+  ;D

Hi,
According to the instructions some files need to be placed in the home folder inside of the local folder. There is no local folder. Are they writing about the root of the memory card or should I make a folder named local? If I should make one where should I do so?

thanks.

required data files and locations for ports see below (note locations local or .local)

*bermudasyndrome.opk copy data to (local/home/.bermudasyndrome)
*cannonball.opk copy files to (local/home/.cannonball/roms)
*devilutionx-rg350.opk copy diabdat.mpq to (.local/share/diasurgical/devilution/diabdat.mpq)
*ecwolf.opk copy data file to (local/home/.ecwolf)
*eduke32.opk copy duke3d.grp to local/home/.eduke32
*hexen2.opk copy data1 to (local/home/.hexen2/data1)
*Quake-1.0-GCWZero-gles1.opk copy id1 to (.local/home/share/Thenesis/Quake/id1)
*REminiscence.opk copy data to (local/home/.REminiscence/data)
*shadow-warior.opk copy sw.grp to (local/home/.jfsw)

1) Install Filezilla on your PC
2) Connect the RG-350 to your PC and launch the "Network" application to display the IP Address and Password.
3) Type the IP address into Filezilla site manager and connect.
4) Navigate to /media/data/local/share then create your directories.

Hope this helps
