Any way to add game boxart with firmware 1.5.1?

Hmmm.... Should be in the GMenu2x options "I think" -

Go to "Preview" and change it from "0" to either "1" or "2"
Then add a folder called ".previews" in each your system folders in the "roms" folder - The artwork MUST be names exactly the same as the games...

For example.... In your roms folder you have a PSX folder, and in there is a bunch of games in various formats "Gran Turismo 2.iso" "Metal Gear Solid.pbp" and "Tekken.bin"

You now create a folder INSIDE the PSX folder called ".previews" and add you r game covers or screenshots... They MUST be named "Gran Turismo 2.png" "Metal Gear Solid.png" and "Tekken.png" to match the game titles.

You will need to do this for ALL of the folders with your games "Except" for Final Burn Alpha and a few others systems... HOWEVER you for FBA-A320 you can use the ".previews" or GUI previews

The structre of you SD Card or RG350 Data folder should be like below

"roms\psx\.previews"

You could just make a back up of your RG350 SD Card using "Win32Image Tool" and install the Custom Firmware...
Or just grab a 32GB Micro SD card on Amazon, they are pretty cheap...  Then keep your current card untouched

I have 2 sets of artwork.. The Artwork is taken from the great work done by Resurection Xtras team. If you use there rom sets for xbox it is already named correctly... Or The again the great work done by the "no Intro" team

Artwork sets for both  are artwork resized to 320x240 for the RG350... I will post the artwork however I will NOT be posting any roms for those sets as it is against the rules here...

I hope this helps

@ace9094 Thanks. I finally had the time time to try it. My handheld does not have the preview option under GMenu2x. I tried doing it for Atari 2600 and I did \ROMS\2600\.previews and also renamed the png files exactly as the roms and no preview showed up.

In 1.5.1 firmware the name must be /previews (without dot).

My Bad... Sorry dude ;)

Sure but it will take some time... I am compiling artwork for "SimpleMenu" - Which ROMSETS are you using ?

If you look for "ResurectionXtra's" ROMSETS then my artwork collection will work, I will happily share it :)

I meant just a snippet of how it looks in your RG350?

Hmmm, not 100%, on the Rogue CFW you have an "opacity" option which when set to 255 is full screen full on... Then change the TXT to a really bright colour so the list of games standout :)

Maybe back up your SD Card using Win32IMG Tool and then try his modded version of GMenu2x - WARNING Its just an idea, I have NO IDEA if it would work.... https://github.com/Ninoh-FOX/gmenu2x

Thanks, but might not be worth the risk for me right now.

On a side note, do you have experience using Skraper?

.

Yes alittle bit, I have been using it for downloading artwork for about 3 or 4 weeks :)

What are you trying to do in skraper ?

Here is a few examples of what I made:

This is one is for "Full Screen" in ROGUE CFW, I have outlined the some of the windows

I designed this so it can be used as a preview for anything, SimpleMenu, ROGUE etc

This is another ROGUE CFW but I may need to move the "Title Highlighter"

I have done some more various types, below is for any frontend / firmware

The 2 below are designed only for use with Rogue CFW fullscreen preview

The 3 below is for any frontend / Firmware and is for fullscreen or small window

Started some Handheld artwork

Hey that looks really good ace9094.
I use Skraper for my PS Classic and never really tried of adding boxart to my RG350 properly.
I had a quick try using its default launcher but couldnt get any images to show, using Rogue FW.

I use emulation station on my PS Classic but may try Simple Menu for the RG350,seems easier to install over emulation station, dunno.
