Let me guess... You turned it off while it was still plugged in, as in, while it still had external power, right? Then congratulations, you have bricked your PokeGear. It is gone, never to comeback. This happened to me early on, and I did document it in the original posting for this machine. There is nothing that can be done now, except throw it away or use the shell and screen for parts.
