No not done anything yet, will wait until it's ready for primetime as I use the Bittboy regularly.

Makes sense. I went ahead and ordered one. Won't ship for another 8 days, then I get to wait on shipping from China... so 2-4 weeks I guess. I hope there will be something more substantial available by the time I get it in hand.

Just a heads up, on my 1st gen unit holding Right + B + TB is the same as pressing R(menu) and holding Right + A + TA turns down the volume and acts as if you are pressing select. Not an issue so long as you don't use a regular button and it's turbo counterpart in conjunction but still annoying. Has anyone else had this happen?

I received my console a few days ago. Generally, it makes a good impression. The buttons work well. Very good quality display. Game emulation is very good as long as the game works. My console has improved screen proportions for gameboy games.. I tested some games and the following titles did not work/was glitched for me:

Battletoads NES (USA/EU) not working... (Japanese version works

)
Battletoads Double Dragon not working
Castlevania 3 (US/EU/JP) has broken sound
Big Nose Freaks Out NES is glitched
Unlicensed Bio hazard NES is not detected by the console
Prehistoryk GB (US/EU/JP) not working
Trip World GB has glitched intro but playable
Shantae GB is glitched too but playable

The improved aspect ratio mode is useless because the image is very small.

Well... Got mine in the mail today. 2 days instead of 2 weeks. Pretty happy about that. Now I hope for easier installing of the CFW. :-D Cool little device so far though.

Just got the new model. A few differences I've noticed besides the new aspect ratio.

1. Nice clicky start and select buttons that activate with a light touch, I no longer have to use my nail to press them down far enough.
2. The on/off is smoother.
3. Glitch where pressing right D-pad, turbo B and normal B together activate the menu is gone.
4. D-pad is creaky as hell. I can't remember if the original was like that but I hope it gets worn down soon.

Finally

The new model and the old model use different file types for NES saves. The original used .sav while the new uses .sav0, I can't seem to make them cross compatible. Any suggestions?

Doesn't the new one only have the ability to use save states? If so, I wouldn't imagine you could transfer saves? I'm not sure.

Both models only have the ability to use save states, the GB and GBC saves transfer fine.

Nope, it recognizes a file is there in the R menu but won't load it. There is also a significant size difference, .sav files are 200kb while a .sav0 file is only 15kb.

Not sure what you're getting at by "Real story". Jutley has had a tutorial on a usable build for awhile. It's just a little more work than I'm comfortable doing, and even if I were, it has to be opened every time, so that seems a bit much for now.

Yes, steward-fu just got his 2nd revision unit and he told me that those units won't even require flashing to the SPI chip.
All you need to do is to flash a firmware image to the sd card.
