Game Hero / Play Computer Pocket GBA Clone.

Looking for the best deal on a Digi Retroboy I found this page on for the identical Play Computer Pocket. The description said it was a GBA player like the Retroboy and was similarly priced though at a heavy discount so I bought it assuming it was the Chinese name or something.

When it arrived I found a few major differences, worst of which is that is lacks the special sd card cartridge that lets you play any game you want. Inside the package is just what is shown here. Upon powering on it says Game Hero instead of Digi Retroboy. I know there are some commands you can input using the brightness button + other buttons so I tried some out and found 2 that work. Pressing Bright + L puts it in sleep mode and Bright + Down D-Pad changes the screen res from 4:3 to 3:2 however there is no third smaller 3:2 in 240:160 option like the Digi Retroboy had.

Unfortunately I don't have a cart to test it with since I assumed it would have that inbuilt flashcart + SD pass through cart. Thankfully since I was planned to buy the real deal for $150 CAD anyway I decided to spend the extra money I saved on an E-Z Flash Omega for a DS Lite I planned to purchase to replace my DSi. I'll use it for my Play Computer instead, the downside is that the shipping is slower and will arrive in a month, so I put the Play Computer Pocket back in the box for now.

Let's hope there are no slowdown or glitches when I do start to play it. I might stop buy a second hand shop and buy a cheap $5 cartridge for testing purposes tomorrow, I'll update if I do. If you have any questions feel free to ask?
