Playing games from external Ed card on RS-07 RetroArcade
« on: March 08, 2019, 03:00:21 am »
I recently purchased the RetroArcade mini. It didn?t come with the rechargeable battery but it did have over 3000 games installed and ready to play. The documentation states you can add more games via external sd card. I formatted the sad card to fat32, made a folder named games in lower case as explained in the documentation and put in roms from freeroms but none of the roms will play. Did I miss a step? Can anyone help?

Just saw that post. Don't bother with stock firmware and flash my custom firmware instead.
See here :

Some arcade mini's came with no emulators built in. Really lol
The CFW supports USB mounting, external sd card slot and more emulators.

You'll need to unmount your Arcade Mini to install the CFW onto the internal sd card though.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply. I?m very nervous about doing things like this as I am not the best with electronics and I don?t want to brick my system. Not saying I won?t do it but I am definitely hesitant.

if you're worried about bricking it, don't overwrite the existing SD card - use a new one. if you can't get it to work just put the old SD card back in.

Sorry. Had problems trying to post. Thanks for the help. I used a new sd card and put on the custom firmware. It works great. But how do I add roms? I apologize for being such a noob but I really am at a loss when it comes to this stuff.
