This is running on a Galaxy S2, don't expect it to run at all on the Yinlips or even on the Xperia Play (nullDC uses 2 cores).

Guess their is hope with Andriod devices, as i am sure as time goes by we would see Xperia Play 2 that would be more powerfull and hopefully a number of Andriod phone makers to produce a game pad accessory such as this.

Basically as Andriod phones mature their is a market for such accessories that can attach to phones, and give them a advantage like the Play has as far as contolls instead of the touch screen.

Don't be too optimistic. N64 emulations stills sucks - A LOT- on android. Plus, you need a powerful high end tablet
(Samsung galaxy has a 1.2 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9) to move DC emulation and still it would be very laggy. It can be done, of course, but not in a short term (I'm talking about playable emulation).

The Dreamcast is not a easy system to Emulate, its not easy for most new PCs.

N64 Emulation depends on the software etc, as the CPU and GPU of most these Andriods should do the job, to me from Videos and comments it seems the YDP G18 N64 Emulation is not that bad, Xperia Play is better (thanks to higher speed and better CPU) i spoke to someone who said on the Play his Rooted and OC Play will play N64 at fullspeed for plenty of games when clocked at 1.2-1.5Ghz he says he sees about 10-12 FPS increase.

So if these open source consoles had ability to OC their 800Mhz CPU to say 1Ghz and had same Andriod as the play uses 2.3+ then we should see N64 Emulation as very well.

As far as Dreamcast i think its a bridge to far for the current devices not if you want 40fps+

@bigdavebear- Samsung Galaxy S2 has a 1.2 GHz dual core (stock, not OC-ed) cpu with Mali400 gpu which is a very powerfull (and power hungry) combo. I'm not surprised that Dreamcst emulation runs on it quite well.
And btw I'll check n64 emulation on my Archos G9 101 (1 GHz dual core OMAP4 + SGX540 GPU) as soon as usb host cable arrives

The S2 is powerfull yes, but i was on about the current homebrew devices like YDP G18 and JXD S601 and i guess can throw in the Play simply because of the controlls.

For me their could be a super powerfull phone that even Emulates PS2 and if the only way to controll it would be via touch screen, well that would be a no go for me.

A gamming device aimed at Emulating old systems or playing games like FPS etc needs gamming controls seperately.

But yes i guess from Emulation stand point a system that can emulate more accurate would be said to be better, but while Emulating System is one thing the whole point is being able to play the Emulated systems with the ease of the orginal system.

Say the Dingoo Emulated the DS.... well it would be useless for many games because of no touch screen.

Ok Tablets, and Phones could use external pads via USB or wireless but then they would not make exactly portable devices.

Super? That would need to be dramatically awesome. And, a phone with such specs wouldn't be a phone in my opinion.
But yeah, i don't really like gaming on touchscreens.
