Unable to Overclock JXD s7800B Tans 2.2.1 Firmware (Stays at 1200MHz)

Hi,
Ive updated the firmware on my device to SUPERCHARGED v2.2.1, but whenever i run setcpu the only option i have is 1200MHz. Ive granted permissions via supersu.. Ive only purchased my device within the last 4 days.

I had that problem to. After flashing 2.2.1 I had to flash one of the alternative kernels provided to get it up to 1.601

Newer SoC units will not clock past 1.6GHz regardless of the kernel.
Pre November 2013 units traditionally clock higher than post November 2013 units.

Managed to flash one of the custom kernels, running at 1700MHz now. Another problem arises though.. Whenever the display should dim it instead completely turns off.. Sometimes when i turn the device on it will turn off again
