Your Caanoo still work? How long have you had it? I think mine is like 3 years old, and it still works fine. Directional slider nub thing is a little "crunchy" but still registers.

thanks for the links metal slug

im a little confused because i seem to be able to download the first two files (rom+nands) without difficulty but when it comes to downloading the fix for sleep and power issue im faced with downloading some dubious third party software that i really dont want to download..

am i being a dumbass ?

Yes a little

. Select the Uploaded.net link. Then wait for the Download button, Then select the free service, wait for the other download link and bam, you have your file. I wouldn't call the site dodgy, just over advertised and very user unfriendly

. Now go get your file and go and enjoy sorting your JXD out

Yeah my Caanoo still works perfectly, to be honest its almost like new still. The Caanoo's build quality is much better than most Korean\ Chinese handhelds and is leagues above the Pandora for build but for overall greatness the Pandora is king and its also super rare so a nice one to own

The reason people keep saying they can't find the links is all of the links posted by WebClaw on page 1 are dead.

Interesting, but no offence meant to anyone .

Maybe someone wants to update the front page links to the working ones, I think I speak for 99% of the forum on this. Such a shame when people put in the hard work but then fail to do the easy maintenance.

Does it work on JXD S7800 16 GB? I couldn't find an answer for that. What will happen if I flash the 6 gb version? Will I get a 6 GB of nand and 10 GB sd, a 6 gb nand, 2 gb sd and an unusable 8 GB raw partition, or even worse - brick the device?

From what I read it doesn't matter what GB you have but 16gb ones don't over clock well some don't like 1.6 either and need to be clocked to 1.4.

If you can find a DL to the rom it will work on the 16GB version. You hit it on the nose when you said "6 GB of nand and 10 GB sd". That is what will happen.

However, with an absence of live links this info is not going to matter much unless we can try it out. I hope WebClaw comes back...

I'm still hesitating though... People are prising Luiji's rom as well, but it's based on KitKat. In my experience with Android, everything is getting worse with newer versions. For example my Galaxy Note tablet (from JB to KK) or my Galaxy S5 phone... the LP upgrade is horrible - looks ugly, the phone is constantly freezing, battery is getting hot, and battery life is half of what it used to be.

BTW my JXD works perfectly, no power button issues, sleep of death, etc.... so I don't like to mess it up, but my hands are itching to put a new firmware for bigger nand and some overclocking.

This might be a very stupid question, but I have a JXD S7800b, the only problem is that I have no idea if it will work on my 1.4GHz / 2GB RAM / 15-ish GB Storage version of the table. Has anyone tested it out on the 1.4GHz model?

While restoring, I got a "Wait for Loader Fail" message and now my device is bricked--the Batch Tool can't recognize it at all. Is there any hope?

Try to flash it again with lujji's ROM. Anyway if you follow the link in my signature there's a link to a Google drive. Try also to download and install Riley' ROM. There's a very detailed guide that can help.
Try also a reset...

I can't really try any other ROM as the device is no longer recognized by the Rockchip Batch Tool; nor will it reset. I suppose monkeying around with the interior might be my only recourse.
