Ordering into the US and customs issues
« on: December 24, 2013, 10:28:17 pm »
Is there any customs issues when ordering into the United States? I plan to order from Dino Direct or Tiny Deal. Also I would like to know which JXDs' are able to be used in a multiplayer setup, wifi direct. On JXD.HK it says that the 5300 and the 602 does but I am wondering which other ones do so it will open up my possibilities. Whatever help is appreciated.

I ordered from DinoDirect to Canada.
It arrived to the USA and arrived in Canada yesterday. No issues so far. I'll likely get my device on the 26th.
Highly doubt there will be any customs issues as my device went to the USA and then into Canada without any delays.

EDIT: I called DHL to see if there would be any custom/duty fees. $16.70 -- I expected this however as it came from HongKong -> USA (Cincinnati) -> Canada (Calgary Alberta) -> Regina Saskatchewan Canada then to my town.
3 counties and only $16.70 in customs/duty -- not bad.

@xxCDxx,

The customs issue is always there. It depends on the policy in your local customs. Some time the customs will inspect the goods very strictly. They will charger you the money if they find that the value declared is much lower than the real value of the goods. But sometimes everything is going through very well from the customs. So no body can gerantee this.

The usual doing is to select a shipping like register air mail- Singapore or Hongkong register air mail. Parcels via post get less rate being inspected by the customs. In this way, you may avoid the customs fee.

For shipping like DHL/ EMS/ UPS and other Express way, it is high rate by checking by your local customs. The customs will charge you the taxes according to the price that written on the DHL shipping bill. But it changed sometimes if they consider the real value is more than the price that written on the bill. In this case, they will require you to pay more money if you want to get it.

What Willgoo will do is that we will declare a low price for every parcel and send as gifts. This is a good way to avoid detecting by the customs. Or we will declare the price like our customers require. But we will not suggest to declare a very low price when we send expensive goods like JXD S7800B, JXD S7300 ect.

No one know what the customs will do. What we do is try our best to help the customs avid high taxes. ;)

This is my first.
Unsure whether you can play MP via 2x devices. I imagine they shoukd as it's pretty standard with WiFi direct.
The device does support OTG and HDMI out.
So you can hook up a wired controller (device doesnt support bt). My 360 Afterglow controller will work. So I can boot up SNES to my TV and give the 360 controller to my wife and she can use the TV while I play on the 7800b
