New Version of EPSXE Available
« on: February 04, 2014, 03:43:37 am »
So I downloaded this today and its a good improvement over the last version.  It includes some kind of native support for the S7800 which is nice.  Also, the sound is MUCH improved with a new ultra low latency lag on the sound which as far as im concerned is lag free.  Its the only emulator I've ever seen on android so far that manages to do this.

Very nice update and a better layout as well.

I got this a few days ago and yeah it's a huge improvement. The sound lag used to be my biggest problem with epsxe and one of the reasons I started using PCSX ReArmed on retroarch instead.

I bought it yesterday and it runs GREAT. But my CST joysticks don't work with Silent Hill.
Kristianity, will you give it a try please?
And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE will you explain how to configure that?
In Player 1 I choose DualShock with ADC Joystick...I remapped all the buttons but NOTHING.
I'm using S7800B 1.6GHz (Tweaked) Minimal ROM w/Fixes (by WebClaw) firmware

Is there a list of games that work good?  I would only want to dl the games I know that work well.

I just bought this emu today.  Need a bigger SD card.  Only have 16 and it's nearly full :(

Wow..  I'm very impressed with this emu.  Every game I've played works 100% with no slow down.

"Goes to get a bigger card and full it up with PSOne games" ;D

ADC Joystick is correct yes.  You map the digital buttons in the menu as normal.  Analogue should be setup like this:

Left Stick X - Axis-X
Left Stick Y - Axis-Y
Right Stick X - Axis-Z
Right Stick Y - Axis-RZ

Those settings work fine for me (confirmed right stick with Croc as it controls camera movements)

However, ive not been able to get Ape Escape working with the right stick for some reason (the only game that requires both analogue sticks that Im aware of) so if anyone does get that working and wants to share how, I'm all ears!

As far as games go, I've got over 50gbs so far on the SD card and the only ones ive had even small issues with are:

Buster Bros Collection - Crashes
Loaded - Glitchy

Everything else runs flawlessly at full speed on Webclaws firmware at 1.6ghz.

Thanks for your reply. First of all, how do you set web's firmware @ 1.6 ghz?
Then...This is my NOT working configuration.

Preferences - Player 1: ADC Joystick [both Digital (only) and Dual Shock)
Select gamepad: ADC Joystick
Player 1 map buttons:
UP - DPAD UP
RIGHT - DPAD RIGHT
DOWN - DPAD DOWN
LEFT - DPAD LEFT

and all my mapped buttons.

Then, in Player 1 map axis, I configured the buttons as you described. Nothing.

The man in Silent Hill could walk with the CST Joypad (I mean, the round one...). in epsxe 1.7.0
Now the man walks only with the 4 arrows...I hope you can understand my problem and help me solve that.
In the meanwhile, I'm seeking epsxe 1.7.0 emulator apk...

1.6ghz just download SetSPU thats what I used.  Create a profile for EPSXE and have it run at full speed, stops any slowdowns or hiccups.

Not sure why your controls arent working.  It looks correct to me.  What I would do if it was working under 1.7.0 would be to reinstall that, and that latest version should jsut write over the top, keeping your settings.

Also, im not sure if it makes a difference, but in Gamepad Options, make sure you have Autodetect on the fly set to enabled.

Also, make sure you have MME Enable set to Autodetect.  For some reason, if i mess with this setting, it stops my analogue sticks from working.  If those dont work, then im not sure what to suggest

Well, I'll try as soon as the tablet loads.
ps: SetCPU Free by NGO THIEU QUANG or SetCPU for root users by Michael Huang?

EDIT, still not working porco di dio. Tryin' to find epsxe 1.7.0.

EDIT#2: I installed a 1.7.7 version found on the net and the controls work flawlessly. Cannot update via the Play Store...I think I'll finish my game with that...

EDIT#3: I installed the ePSXe provided by Xiaoji and everything works. I will finish the game with that...and I won't download the new 1.9.17 version

EDIT#4: I'm getting crazy mannaggia alla madonna di canneto. After a reboot, the ePSXe by Xiaoji doesn't work properly...ma porco dio.
