Ok, many people know this, but i cannot find any thread about this device.

JXDS5600

basically, is much like a S7100, but with some new features.
first of all, there will be two sub-models, A and B. The difference between these models are that "A" will be single-core (sunplus) and "B" will be dual-core (Amlogic-MX)

what new?

Model "A"
- CPU GP33003 1GHz (Sunplus)
- GPU SGX531 GPU

Model "B"
- Amlogic-MX 1.5GHz
- GPU Mali-400MP (Dual-Core)

Common:
- 1GB DDR3 RAM
- dual sticks (appears to be real analog sticks)
- L1, L2, R1 & R2 shoulder buttons
- Frontal speakers -> Nice! ^_^
- Capacitive 5" Screen multitouch (5 points)
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean!

i'll update when i get more info.

Spotted this in the other thread and have to say it looks damn nice!

I prefer the S5600 for it's smaller size, loads of grunt and they finally have all the buttons right and a decent d-pad.

I was holding out on an Android handheld purchase due to all the current ones having one or more things I didn't like about them, but it seems the wait is over with the 5600.

Finally a device with a proper d-pad, screen size and all the buttons there.

The single core probably is though to be very economic, but the dual core is the device that looks more interesting. Also, from a developer point of view, The GP33003 SoC is not very friendly for scene purposes, while the Amlogic-MX is good for that. I'll probably go for the B model.

This has a dual core GPU, vs a quad core GPU in the Archos Gamepad.  Wonder how much of a performance difference?

Not much, because Amlogic GPU cores run at 400 mhz, and Rockchip ones at 250 mhz. Rockchip 3066 is a bit faster though. Any case, both Amlogic-MX and Rockchip are good options, and both systems should run quite fluently.

This man is a genius! I always agree about everything with him.

Yes, it looks like the first decent android/non android handheld ever created since dingoo a320. But we'll see. Don't be too optimistic. A dual core processor should guarantee flawless emulation at full speed for N64 and PSX.

The 5"" is the way to goo. 7"" is way too big for a handheld. I don't get why they still make those mammoths, they're akward too play and it loses all sense (non existant portability).

The great thing about offering both is catering to different gamers. The 5" is for more dedicated gamers who prefer portability, while sacrificing some experiences beyond game playing. The 7" is for those who wish to expand beyond gaming with web browsing, movie watching, etc., while sacrificing portability.

I mentioned this in the other topic on the 7" version, but I'll say it here too, this thing looks too good to be true with all the features we've been asking for.

I just thought of this too... another plus for this device, it's not a psp/vita clone YAY!!!!

The placing of the stick and the d-pad is better on S5100 (d-pad is under the stick) because it's more ergonomic. And I really miss the rear camera!

you cant say something is more or less ergonomic without actually holding it in your hand , i mean archos tablet
places the nub under the d-pad. plus with the nub lower it might feel a bit like a wide ps controller if you get what i mean.

i guess it depends on what you want, i mean if your going to be playing androids games more you will want the
nub higher. but i would see myself using this for emulation more so would want a d-pad in a good place.

wait a sega saturn ? ouch sorry mate , but saturn is terrible to emulate even on a pc due mostly to its architecture.
i mean there are people working on a Saturn emulator for droid, butt miles from being even basically playable.

n64 and play station is quite nice thought.

even dreamcast is starting to get better.

Well I could have said Atari jaguar but there are net that many emulators for that at all.  Actuall dreamcast would actually be better.  So that is cool.

Now the engineers are still testing this device. Possibly it will be released at the end of November.
