JXD S7800B WiFi Problem any solution ?

I just got JXD S7800B and i love it. the only problem that i have is very poor WiFi signal, even from 3 feet from the router.

is this a known problem with this device? any solution?

i saw online video about customizing the analog stick and the guy talk about the poor WiFi, he claimed that the antenna wire is seating wrong next to the battery and he manage to fix it by moving it or somthing ( not clear what he saying exactly).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZej-hEWtEk

Will be happy to hear a solution.

yeah I had the same problem with my JXD S5110B. The WiFi antenna was stuck onto the battery, which I guess was effectively earthing it. It was an easy fix: open up the device and stick the antenna somewhere else. My WiFi was great after that

The same should be doable with the JXD S7800 although I haven't needed to open it up, from what I hear its slightly more difficult because of the ribbon cable, but it should definitely be doable.

Probably your router. Is it Wireles N. If not then that could be your problem.

What is the trick to open it? i tried 4 times but the inside clips are not popping out (on the top and bottom, side are easy to open and stay open), i don't want to use to much force to brake the plastic.

will appreciate the help  :)

Nice! I wonder if anyone else's problems with reception are due to broken antennae. My reception has been similar to my BlackBerry Playbook's, which works for me.

it looked like it was poor unfinished antenna assembly in the manufacture place ...... well, until Google will have Nexus Game pad.... we will need to deal with this type of build quality.

My device had a sticky isolation protector on top of the antenna ( the side that under the battery). AND on the power wires!

1. maybe it having isolation issue when the battery is seating on top and preventing the WiFi signal to be received.

2. or the soldering is bad.

i will recommend to try first to isolate it first.

Good luck and let us know what happen

Hello,

Have you try to reworking the solder of the antenna ?
I'm searching a fix for this wireless problem.
Too much packet lost for remote gaming or streaming :/

Search wifi antenna I posted some replacement ones a few posts back by another trusted member. It uses 801 BGN type so if you get a pair you wont use the 5ghz one at all. Haven't done mod yet. There are many internal wifi antenna mods on utube. You can check the wires for good solder and there should be no multi meter continuity between antenna and its shield.
