JXD S7800B only charges up to 79%

Like my title says, my device doesn't fully charge. My JXD is only 1 month and noticed this charge issue recently. It doesn't matter for how long I leave it charging, it will not exceed 79%.

DAE have this problem? Is there a fix?

I've heard of this happening on other android devices

My sisters Aspen tablet some time won't go past about 93%
When that happens we drain it a little and it usually charges up

You can normally see battery voltage with CPUs
However 7800 only shows 3 or 4
So very inacurate

Are you using the charger that shipped with it? It's known to be poor quality and could be the problem.

Wouldn't the charger just not work if it were broken? Maybe it would overheat and stop charging but this sounds kind of specific.

My charger works but sometimes I have to just touch the thing plugged into the wall. Really, it just takes a nudge and it'll charge. A better one is on my wish list.

My S7800 won't charge completely with the charger that shipped with it (except mine stops at 99% not 79%). Anyways, for whatever reason, it wouldn't go to 100%, no matter how long I left it.

No idea if it's the same problem or not, but if he can find a different charger I think it would be worth trying.

Guys I personally don't think the stock charger is even safe, ditch it asap would be my advice.
Cord is good for making a hack cable but that's about it.

Mine will stop at 99% as well, but my Android phone does the same thing. Usually I can get to 100% by resetting or sometimes if I charge it while its off.

Yup. I've just ordered a new one from Amazon. I hope the stock POS didn't permanently damaged the battery. I plan not to use it until I receive the new charger.

kyle does the battery icon change when you plug it in?
click on it and it will take you to a chart.. it should say 'charging on ac' or something like that.

What a really low cost low quality charger that JXD provided.

Mine appears to have stopped charging at 47%. Only had it 5 days.

I'm using the stock charger but have the USB charger on order.

I plugged it in yesterday and it showed charged so unplugged, played with it for half hour and it showed 47%, which I thought was strange.  Left it overnight off charge, still showing 47% this morning. Put it on charge this morning for half hour, still showing 47%.

So not sure if it's just the battery indicator showing incorrect or the battery and or charger are malfunctioning.

Going to see what happens over the next few days.

The charger that came with the device is not good. You need to get a decent charger with 5V 2A.

Just an update, battery meter and battery performance  still erratic, but it at least appears to be charging once again.

Unfortunately my USB charger still hasn't arrived been about 7 weeks now, so no way of testing it.

Thinking of just going to a store and getting a replacement charger.

It's not a charger problem, maybe the device, its rom or its data.

My recommendation, even no experience about that issue is

1- Try letting the device drean all its battery, after that, try to charge till 100%
2- Try with some programs about battery problems, I think some of them make different between of them, try with battery calibration, it will remove help you to remove a file called batterystats.bin, Google engineer say that file only only delete stats about battery usage, but you don't lose anything trying.
3- Delete all data, for example using the pinhole, remember make backup of important things.
4- Try flashing a new rom, but make sure you're battery is as much charged as you can.

And let us know how it was.
