Willgoo, did you already test if the tablet has usb host for anything? All the sites also claim that it supports external 3g, but that would require a working usb host.

hello everyone,  jxd s18 has impressive hardware specifications for that price tag..

i think its perfect for E-books and net surfing...
i want to know your opinions about the game emulation...?

lot of emulators are there for Android devices... without buttons, can it handle all those emulators?

Hi,
In this video of Skypad Pocket (the JXD S18 with another brand) you can see an example of emulation of the Nintendo 64, at 5:22.

N64 emulation is good.. but looks like it does not support multi touch..
and it has no bluetooth.. so we cant connect external gamepad....

i guess it has no OTG support... ???

no otg, no bluetooth... only 2point sensitive touch.. same applies to jxd s18....
i think we cant buy them for gaming... except some android games...

You can see this device as a gadget similar to a phone for a kid, but without the phone itself.

and, this may be so useful for child, because this device does?n have mobile telephony broadcasting signals (bad emmisions for childrens)

think on this device as a multimedia player that you can carry for childrens. I used many times my phone to let my child to see some Dora's or Pocoyo episode when i'm on a restaurant with my wife. it's a very useful!

i suggest to use these software with this device:

Kids Place, an awesome software that let you configure what programs can use a child, and you can give the device in a safe way because childs cannot run anything that you don?t specific.

add software for your child and configure with Kids Place. In my case, i installed andgry birds, few interactive books from "Loud Crow Interactive Inc." (my child love it), some video player with parental control, such Toddler Videoplayer or similar and some educational and interactive software such Color & Draw for Kids

with these software, you can give a good and interactive device that a child can use with safe, IMHO.

greetings!

And iPod is only for kid too ?? Why not . Is smaller, not phone signal etc. Story about kid tablet is only bad China marketing. Nothing on this tablet is for kid. Of course this is low end tablet, and far away from iPod, but don`t see why this will be for kid. 6-7 inch tablet with similar price is better for children , no one want to his kid eyestrain on this little screen.

I don't think anybody said it is designed for children, just that it is ideal for them due to it's price and small size. It's useful as a little media player, not really as a full tablet due to the small screen and it's resistive nature.

EDIT: Btw another great app for younger kids is Toddler Fun:

JXD S18 did has the USB host which is for USB cable connecting with the PC. But this device will not supports OTG as there is no OTG cable coming with the package.
