There seems to be a rash of 7800's coming from JXD this last week that are not running at their advertised 1.6ghz

To try and figure out when this happen I'd like everyone to run CPUZ and post the snap shots

Also List what firmware you're running Stock or Tans custom,
And the string printed on the bottom edge of the device. You'll find it opposite side across from the sd card slot

I believe 2013 is the year, 10 being the month (Oct), I believe 00374 to be the serial number

Im running 1.1.4 STOCK firmware, CPU is 1.6ghz

Update: JXD has release a firmware that seems to get 1.4 units to run at 1.6.. although stability is not guaranteed

My screen shots are below. I have Tans firmware and was only able to get 1.2 ghz. I then went to the stock kernel and now sit at 1.4ghz. I bought it at Dinodirect a couple weeks ago. Sting printed on my device is                         S7800-B-01-201311-8GB-02664. I emailed [email protected], [email protected], waiting to see if i get a reply.

We'll be a lot of people so I hope JXD will have an explanation. Otherwise it'll be the last time I buy a JXD device (I've already a S7300 owner and despite the fact that the S7800 is a very well-built console)

I paid 139 so maybe I had to expect something wrong but it is a kind of robbery, especially if stated 1.6ghz

Well if some units are faulty JXD should offer a recall & replacement (validated by a unique CPUz result) and start the leap between "chinese manufacturer" and "trusted brand". I'm sure it'd secure them this entire community as loyal trusting customers.

Hmm interesting.. If im right your unit was made in Nov, and you serial is 02664
However I think Pegoncology in another thread said their serial was 00552 from this month Dec..
Im wondering if JXD resets the Serial (Assuming that's what it is) every month.

At least we know this stretches back at least since last month, Hopefully more people will post their strings and we'll see if this is a 100% (defect?) and a product change or if some lucky ones from Dec are still getting 1.6 units.

Mine at 1,4 max ondemand runs mortal kombat 2, ultimate mk3, nba jam, ninja warriors, outfoxies flawless...(my 2012 nexus 7 can't do this) it also can play the ds roms I've tried flawless and I've also tried today sonic adventure in the new dc emulator reicast and went perfect too.  to me it's almost what i wanted as I'm not much interested in android games except a few let's wait till we have some response from jxd anyway

 but it's about 18000 on antutu and the other not capped devices reach 19000+ so i guess there's something wrong.

Same thing here.
Just received from geekbuying and CPU is maxed at 1.4Ghz under stock rom.
