JXD 7800 does not wake up from sleep / alarm

I have my 78 set to wake me up, it rest in a stand at new night by my bed.
Normally I have it charge over night it goes off when on charge but when on battery it does not wake from sleep for the alarm to go off.
Any one else have this problem?
