« on: January 16, 2014, 06:16:03 pm »
my JXD went flat today it was about 90% when i left for work, i got back 9 hours later and it was turned off and flat. Do i need to stop apps running before putting my JXD in stand-by because this is the 2nd one i have had and its happened on both, i only had a snes emu running in the background

hey,
yes you must close the apps down all they will eat up juice
I rarely turn mine off
I just close all apps down then I can leave it for 8hrs easy and its only had about 1-3% battery drain
try doing that with a phone lol
be afraid...be very afraid

Mine goes in sleep when the screens off or hit the power button solo no prob here I don't clear apps
What you can do is get a CPU app and set the CPU down when not using it
I set mine to 1 core @ 312mhz while screens off

You should also  check your WiFi setting I have mine set to auto off when screen is off unless on ac

Also if you over clocked the unit may turn off but battery is fine like my unit if I keep it at 1700mhz and let it sleep it will be off when I come back has to do with volts as when I'm using it 1700 is fine and stable but when it goes to sleep the volts lower and it becomes unstable and shuts down but that's only if I keep it set at 1700 24/7 if I run a 1200/1700 profile it fine
