Good stuff.  Installing now.  Had to dust it off.  :)

Edit:  All done.  Successful install.  Android 4.0.3.  Interface is COMPLETELY different now.  It's pretty much vanilla android now instead of the bloated mess that was there before.  Battery charging bug appears to be fixed with ICS.  Google Play store and all Google apps are included.  Not seeing any kind of button mapping yet.  I need to play around with it.  Can't remember what the button combo was to bring up button mapping on the S5100.  Very little bloatware.  Aside from the Google Apps, there is Appinstaller, and every emulator known to man.  Nes4droid, Gameboid, Ps4droid, N64droid, Tiger arcade, Snesoid, Genesoid, oid, droid, blah blah blah.

xphyle, in s5100 to launche the androidgamekey is pressing select + start at the same time. Doesn't come with a gamekeyhelp.apk? If that's the case, maybe they didn't include it (since I don't have this, I have not taken a look to the update.zip to see what's new)

Skelton.  Button mapping (Gamekey) is not included.  I don't understand why they didn't include this?!  It's on the S5100...and it will be on the two new dual core models coming out soon.  Why go through the trouble of upgrading this older model to ICS and NOT include the ability to map the physical buttons?!  Ugh.  Is Gamekey an installable .apk?  Can it be taken from the S5100 and installed on the S7100b?  If so, anyone have a link to the .apk?

The gamekey utility is kernel dependant, it's not a standard apk. The gamekeyhelp.apk I was talking about it's just a visual app that shows hot to use, but must be implemented in firmware, it's not a stand-alone apk.

But i agree, it's weird that they didn't include it having in mind that s601, s602, s5100, s5110, even the old v5200 include it. All of them basically except s7100. I don't understand why.

Are you using the uImage_recovery of the ICS firm or your old one? Because this can be the reason.

so i installed ics on my s7100b and now i cat get rid of the bottom status bar. Can anyone help? it takes away like 5% of the screen all the time even in videos!

doesnt that require root?
ive looked around on how to get root access on my device but havent found anything for the jxd s7100 i just found the ICS and installed it..
