[S7800] VBA Next issues
« on: January 07, 2014, 03:55:11 pm »
In the latest release of Retroarch, one of the games I wrote for the GBA exits to the menu shortly after starting up using the VBA Next core. The VBA-M core works, but is not full speed on the S7800. I don't know if it's a VBA Next problem or a Retroarch problem.

Where can I find a version of VBA Next that I can run separate from Retroarch for testing?

VBA-Next is Optimized port of VBA-M.

You can get Windows/Linux versions from here:

Yes, but that's not very helpful. The game runs on M but not on Next. M doesn't run full speed, as it is built for accuracy.

Have you tried gba.emu or my boy? They both seem to run games fine.

To be clear, my problem isn't finding a good emulator. I want to help get the issue fixed, as there is an obvious bug somewhere. It's probably in VBA Next, but I can't rule out Retroarch itself unless I can separate the two.
