Jokers. I wish we could make a pinned thread with a little ****list of all the crap these sellers try to pull. There's no reputable alternative, sadly. Willgoo is just as bad.

So you pay for an item that is advertised as 1.6ghz only for the unit to arrive running at 1.2ghz.

So you update the firmware made by someone other than JXD so that you can get what you paid for. But then something happens and, oops, JXD won't help you.

Wonder if that includes their own firmware they released.

Does not matter even if you don't update the firmware they will say you have without ever seeing the device. FACT.

And just like that all that trust and good will dino direct had built with the users of this board went down the drain. Shame. For a second there I thought we might actually have a "trusted reseller" on the board.

I'm pretty sure you can not make the touchscreen fail like in the videos I've seen by making changes in the firmware or rooting. :)

2dtron why did you state what u did u should have said nothing
There is no way for them to know if you wanted to send it back restore it to default and return stating it doesn't work that's it now since they know you did its a little late now

Didn't you send them  a video of the problem? Was there anything in the clip to suggest firmware had been changed?

Don't think it should matter though as it sounds more like a hardware issue. Surely if it was few related then just reflashing with the official few would fix it

The video shows me turning on the device, then the lock screen and me pressing mutiple times. That's it.

and I'm guessing it has the default splash screens too!

*update* Actually that sounds accusing. Not supposed to be . Just wondering if there was anyway the video you sent could back up their argument. They said about some rooting software too didn't they? Thought maybe they could see it on the menu screen but if you can't get past the lock screen they wouldn't see the menu.
Also were you using the stock launcher?

As they are not helping have you tried reflashing? Have you also tried dismantling and putting back together to make sure there is no loose connection?
Touch screens are not that hard to replace so if you might be able to get it replaced if you can find the right replacement. I managed to fix a 3ds by replacing the touch screen. Only cost me ?3
