Title: You can't brick an RG280v...or can you?
Post by: megamaneighty on October 19, 2021, 03:34:23 am
I'm not sure what I've done to my 280v, but I've done something...

I was testing out some MAME emulation, with the overclock function on on ADAM image 1.1. Then, I powered the device down properly. Then, I powered the device on but it got stuck on the initial loading screen (it has a progress bar and a logo). It remained firmly stuck like that for a few minutes. Since I was planning on upgrading to Adam 1.3, i just pulled out the flash card since I could not get the device to power down with the power or reset buttons.

After preparing the new image on a micro SD, I find the 280v unresponsive. The green LED is dimly lit and that does not change with holding the power or reset buttons. The screen is black at all times. When I disconnect the internal battery and plug it back in, the green LED immediately comes back on.

I have no idea what I've done here. Thoughts?

It can't be bricked. Your SD card might be dead, though. That does happen (they are not built to last).
