Title: Universal Firmware, Nickz Menu, or RetroFW for PAP K-III Plus?
Post by: silverback on November 15, 2021, 03:12:55 am
Mine is on the way via Amazon, and I'd some feedback as to what people like the best.
Luckily all 3 seem like cool and valid options, I've only had cheaper handhelds before with no custom firmware ( except the android one).

Tell me which of the above you use ( or what new thing) and why you like it. If you have the time anyway.

Nickz Menu just dumped a bunch of stuff on top of the stock OS. RetroFW and OpenDingux (Beta) are your viable options. RetroFW has more content. OD is in theory a bit faster and uses a newer Linux Kernel I believe, though I am not sure how stable it is at this point on the jz4760 devices. It was improving last time I checked, but that has been a couple of months.
