hmnmm nes perfomance seems broken, at beta was fine :(

Checkthe region settings and the speed settings in the FCEUX settings, they are reverted to default, which - regarding what region game youre playing - may result in the wrong speed. Be sure to have "PAL=on" in main settings when playing a PAL game, and the opposite for NTSC games
i get 25fps  either way :(

That's weird, try flashing again, I have 50/60fps. It doesnt "feel" quite full speed, but the fps indicator shows me 50 for pal and 60 for ntsc respectively. Maybe you have botched settings? I would try reinstalling the firmware. Do you have frameskip on auto?

Yep, same here for FCEUX. The fps counter shows 60 but games play very choppy. Makes games like mario bros.3, kirby and ninja gaiden unplayable pretty much. Made sure frame skip etc. were off.

You don't need too.
If you're trying to install that new snes emulator just follow the linking instructions a few posts back
The ROMS partition is what you transfer games and files to

Probably my post is causing the confusion. Personally I'm still accessing the GAME partition by way of DinguxCommander.

Someone wrote a hardware scaler for FB Alpha for the gcw0: http://boards.dingoonity.org/gcw-releases/final-burn-alpha-sdl-for-gcw-zero-(beta)/msg174114/#msg174114

Would this be portable to the RS-97, or is the IPU significantly different between the two socs?

I Personally extended my game partition to 16gb and my roms partition has 100gb so i copy all games to the game partition and roms to roms partition makes sense yea.

Anybody got Atari 2600, Atari 7800, or Atari 5200 emulators to work with Steward's new setup?

As for NES, it definitely seems that the overclock is helping smooth gameplay out.

However, the higher you overclock.  Say 624, I started to notice things like missing bullets on contra.
At 600, everything was working.

It seems like more testing is needed to find an optimal overclock for all systems.

I don't know but... It's pretty bad to overclock a device to run NES games. I will wait for a proper nes emulator ou a optimization on fceux.

It's so strange that opendingux and dingux had so bad nes emulators and even native rs-97 and dingoo had 60/60fps on those ugly emulators haha even Lion pack had a bad performance in 6 revisions. NES mappers is a problem (or not)

The JZ4760 in the RS-97 is rated to 600mhz: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingenic_Semiconductor#XBurst1-based_SoCs So either they bought binned chips at a discount, it requires more cooling (a heatsink), or it should be able to run just fine at 600.

I wonder if a small heatsink could be throw on to enable smooth 600mhz or even above.l
