RetroFW for Gopher 2 and Pap K3 Plus

Thank's to all the devs that made this possible.

RetroFW firmware Image Pap K3 Plus JZ4760 - https://yadi.sk/d/QojpqKz5TkaMIA
RetroFW firmware Image Pap K3 Plus JZ4760b - https://yadi.sk/d/sc3HH8uZXxXjCQ
RetroFW firmware Image Gopher 2 JZ4760 - https://yadi.sk/d/aIPo6GepqcAQRg
RetroFW firmware Image Gopher 2 JZ4760b - https://yadi.sk/d/piFbSTjFgh6g1w
Usb burn Tool with instruction - https://yadi.sk/d/t7RPdjaLQrqVzg

Owners of Gameta 2 can flash the corresponding build from Pap K3 Plus. Maybe it'll work.

Additional soft only for Gopher 2:
1) Pcsx4all for Gopher 2(PS One) - rearranged buttons mapping(A - Cross, B - Circle, X - Square, Y - Triangle, L - L1, R - R1, Z - L2, C - R2, Menu - Select, Start - Start), little optimization - https://yadi.sk/d/2zLlYYiHUSu8Eg
2) Picodrive for Gopher 2(Sega MegaDrive, Sega 32x, Sega CD) - Add buttons C and Z, six button controls are set by default, fixed 6-button joystick definition - https://yadi.sk/d/OmGpudV09rMtqw

Very cool that you did this Blackz ! This immediately makes those devices useful.
Right now, they can be found for 30~35? compared to the LDK. Not the cheapest hackable device (that price goes to the XYC Q8, which can boot the bittboy firmware v2 but needs a few kernel modification for it to work properly) but yeah... :>

You mentioned the gameta but that thing has a higher screen resolution of 480x320 so while it's possible it will boot there, it's probably not going to take advantage of the full screen resolution. Perhaps make another build for it and mark it as untested ?
There is also a JZ4760B version of this thing as welll so yeah...

Also, is there any source code out there ? I would like to give it a go on the PAP K3S, which has a screen resolution of 800x480.
Unless you're willing to release a build for it too ? I have one with a JZ4760 and i can still test it, despite my damaged screen... xox

Oh and yeah, the stock firmware had an app for the camera that could maybe used on RetroFW... A fun project would be to make it work on that, assuming the kernel does support it of course but most people probably won't care given the low quality.. :>

Anyway, this is very cool for PAP K3 Plus/Gopher 2 owners.

The X9 handled is a completely different. arcnor was looking into it and he got a modified executable to work on it but that's pretty much it for now... These are not going to be easy to work.

Very good, this executable could even work in the X6 Game.  It would be nice to wait for some progress for the XYC Q9, it could support SNES well.

Is there no way around installing a windows 7 VM to get this firmware on the device, that's not something I want to get into? Why can't we burn an image to the internal SD card?

Edit: Answered my own question. Took the internal SD card out, burned the image using etcher and started my PAPK3plus up and it worked fine after a few automatic set up routines were done.

How do you change the volume now on the PAPKIII Plus? Volume minus brings up a brightness icon and volume plus doesn't seem to do anything?

You can set the volume in the settings.

Runs perfectly so far on my PaP K3+. Amazing work Blackz. As for everyone asking for this for other devices, keep in mind the scope of the software. It runs on the PaP K3 and the Gopher 2 because they use the same SoC as other RetroFW devices. Tacking on "X Random Chinese Device" isn't feasible. All RetroFW devices to date run the jz4760(B) SoC.

SNES performance is the same as any other RetroFW Device. So pretty good, though not full speed on everything.

i want to request a emulator for retrofw:

emuvt.
one vt03 emulator hence the name
the controls, etc... are the same as nes.
rom file format is .bin

why would i want one:
because this is the only emulator, that emulates vt games, whereas fce ultra doesn't work with it.

here are documents:

http://bootleg.games/BGC_Forum/index.php?topic=1794.0

here are the files, necessary for programming:

You can set the volume in the settings.

Is there any chance of getting hot keys for the volume? Changing it in the settings means we can't change the volume when the games is running.

Someone else was working on it but then he got busy with work... I don't have one myself and i'm not willing like spending on one, despite costing only 15$ on aliexpress :>>>
In theory it shouldn't be too hard to make it work with the bittboy v2 with some kernel modifications but as far as the bittboy is concerned, i'm waiting on a fix for cedar to potentially work on it.

There is still hope at the end of the tunnel.
