I have some ideas to improve performance for PCSX4ALL on the Retro Arcade Mini (for example, don't downscale resolutions like 512x240 used by Crash bandicoots games. Instead, crop 32 pixels and center it).
Also, i would need to support PS3/Switch/360 controllers for PCSX4ALL, so we can finally play Ape Escape properly.

Wait this thing can run Crash Bandicoot PSX games?  :o

Right now it only costs $ 76.99 at Tomtop:
https://www.tomtop.com/p-f1872trb.html?_ga=2.60301165.1196055606.1537512300-843861359.1536660957

Personally I took it there, I never had a problem ordering at home even if it is longer than other sites in general.
I just got it today, like it was fast. There are just two crazy things, my box looks like a factory box compared to Youtube review and I miss the baterry.  :o ;D

New surprise the machine is empty ...  I think what is not finishing my machine
:o

Hi! I'm new in the forums... First of all, hello to all!

Another TomTop victim here... Today i received my RS-07 and it's an unfinished one, like yours  :( Do you know where can we found a battery alternative that fits well on the RS-07?

I just open a dispute on Paypal too...

Hi, welcome to club  ;D
I bought a battery like this: https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/2-PCS-Liitokala-Nouveau-18650-3400-mAh-3-7-V-lithium-batterie-pour-lampes-de-poche/32837291673.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.40696c37Bzqtiy
After I do not know if she will go there size level, I will soon receive them to check.

I got mine today, and I'm a bit disappointed, but maybe for stupid reasons.  I ordered from an eBay auction, where I could choose from black, or white & red.  When you click white and red, it shows the picture of the unit with the red base, but the blue bezel.  When it arrived today, the bezel is entirely red, like the image in post 50.  Also, I can't tell, but it seems like the joystick on this unit is taller, and the knob is smaller than the ones shown from the original batch.  I would have preferred a shorter joystick with less throw.  But whatever, I doubt the seller is going to do anything for me, and it's too much of a pain in the ass to send it back to China.

Other than that, the unit is pretty much what everyone was showing.  The volume control is absolutely terrible, going from 0% to 80% loudness in one step, which is already too loud, and then going up slightly from there to 100%.  I hope this is something the CFW can address.  I also assume that the CFW will allow all emulators to load compressed ROMs, which the default OS seems unable to do.

Is there any ETA on the CFW?  It really needs one.  Even if it's an incomplete v1.0.  Anything has to be better than the default experience.  Thanks.

The red version would have a problem with the joystick, you should check too. :-\

The blue version is really pretty, too bad the mini pads are black ... :(

I don't understand why the red units have a different joystick from all the other models...?  Is it possible to buy some kind of replacement for them?

@sirdrak seems you are not the first one to receive the rs07 without the battery. I should get mine next week, i'll give the info if its the retail or oem version ;)
@procyon:
there is 2 revision on the original hardware (original rom 1.1 and 1.3 , check jutley website), it may explain the different joystick too?
and no ETA for the custom firmware, we have to wait for more info from gameblabla, but latest video are really amazing! (2 controllers support and some great gameplay)

edited: wrong name, do you know if you've got the 1.1 or 1.3 version?

Just to set the record straight, I am not one who received his unit without a battery.  My battery was fine. I just didn't get the colors I anticipated (minor), and the joystick seems weirdly taller than those that see in other pictures.

After this may be a special case for video, you have to test on Street Of Rage the diagonal to be sure not to have problems.
I saw basic firmware that could read SMS games while mine can not. The firmware of Gameblabla may solve a lot of problem because the basic is rotten.

If you plug in the tv or headphones then the volume control works perfectly, it's only broken when using the built in speaker. Im really hoping this is an easy fix in the firmware.

I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but 'odjinan' shared a trick with me:

When your console comes 'empty' (no games listed) or when you (like I did) selected the 'factory reset', the following key-combination can fix your game indexation / game list:

Go to Settings - System Info - tap Select, Start, X, L, R, B, B.

https://youtu.be/_oQAGZbfttE?t=62

Note: check under 'system information' if the internal sd card has content or not, I had 16GB with only 380MB available....

Thanks again to 'odjinan' for pointing me in the right direction!

How can you identify the different versions (and what are the differences)?

Whait naxeras said, most likely a Rasperry Pi inside. Since the connectors are exposed (display and even the buttons), it's just relatively easy to make it work with any devices with GPIO ports and all. (though i don't know the exact specifics)
The JZ4760(B) SoC has no 3D hardware whatsoever, only a lame 2D accelerator.
