There are also devices with Ingenic inside that are in a repro GBA or GBA SP shell. They aren't included here because they are almost a fraud. Anyway, for more informations on those units visit this thread: Nintendo GBA & GPA SP Clones (SHELL) with Ingenic inside (https://boards.dingoonity.org/ingenic-jz4760-devices/gba-gpa-sp-clones-with-ingenic-inside/).

FAQ:

What about other devices not included in the list?
If they aren't included in this list they don't belong here or they haven't been added yet. Anyway every Ingenic device will be listed here except each one that already own a section (Ben Nanonote, Dingoo A320/A330/A380, GameGadget, GCW Zero, Gemei x760+/Gemei A330).
Every device listed here has a Custom Firmware?
Not necessarily, however devices with a CFW will surely be included in this list.
What I need to do before flashing a CFW on my device?
When they come with internal/external SD you should definitely use one of your SD (a good quality one if possible) instead of the one that comes with the device. Otherwise if the device doesn't need an SD you have not so much to worry about, just use common sense and take a backup before flashing the OS.
Are there some trusted stores to buy these kind of devices?
It depends on what you mean for "trusted". Rarely who produce this devices also directly sells them, so it's up to you to choose which store to trust.

For additional informations visit Steward's website (https://steward-fu.github.io/website/).
If you want to read an interesting blog visits Obscure Handhelds (https://obscurehandhelds.com/).
There are also two Discord Chat (1 (https://discord.gg/FzCeqvt), 2 (https://discord.gg/hvR5vK6)) where you can talk about this kind of devices.

This is a work in progress guide, if you have suggestion to improve the guide just write it up here!

RetroGame

MAIN THREAD (https://boards.dingoonity.org/retrogamers-97/revo-k101-shell-used-in-another-device/)

The RetroGame is an handheld with a shell based on the one from the Revo K101+, then partially changed in the RetroGame Plus. Due to this similarity many called it, erroneously, K101 Pro.

/!\ THERE ARE DIFFERENT VERSION OF THE RG, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME, YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW WHICH ONE YOU OWN TO FLASH THE CORRECT FIRMWARE, BE AWARE OF THIS /!\ (https://boards.dingoonity.org/ingenic-jz4760-devices/four-types-of-rs-97-revisions/)

First of all you need to know which version you own. Don't worry, it's extremely easy! To accomplish this you only need to remove the battery cover and then the battery of your device, at this point you will see (written on the PCB) something like "RETRO-GAME-V*.*" followed by a date, like this example photo (https://i.imgur.com/zvzdxXd.jpg).

Screen: 3 inches 320x480

The LDK is an handheld in a compact shell and has the same hardware as the RetroGame (RG) v2.1 so is fully compatible with the same CFW. The two versions has different hardware, the vertical one has the JZ4760B, instead the horizontal one has the older JZ4760.

RetroMini

MAIN THREAD (https://boards.dingoonity.org/retrominirs-90/new-revo-k101-mini-in-the-wild/)

The RetroMini is a pretty little handheld with a design reminiscent of GB/GBC. Probably based on what should have been the unreleased K101 Mini. It houses the same Game Boy Micro screen (or at least very similar) so OEM and replacement screens will work. You can find models branded "RETROMINI" or unbranded as well as models with different flash memory (some of them are hynix and some other samsung).

Screen: 2.0 TFT  240x160
CPU: JZ4725B mips 360 mhz
RAM: 32MB DDR2
Internal memory: 512MB Nand
Battery: Replaceable Li-Ion BL-5C 1020 mAh (approximately 5HRS Playtime)

great data base thanks for sharing

Thanks. I am going to update the thread with more devices asap.

Great thread... The only clickable "Name" for me is the RS-97... Maybe I missed something but in case, I am using Opera with built in VPN

Still awesome idea... well done  8)

I am slowly updating the list  :)

I know that hardware wise are completely different, this is the reason why I wrote "clone and successor", however to avoid confusion I can edit it like "Spiritual successor of the Sega Gopher and Sega Gopher Wireless produced by AtGames in Taiwan, USA, Europe and Russia."

Thanks for the comment! :)

For three days I cannot work on the guide, as soon as I can work again on this I will add additional content...probably the next device to be added will be the Ritmix.

MAIN THREAD (https://boards.dingoonity.org/retrogamers-97/retro-game-plus65288rs-97-plus65289coming-soon/)

The RetroGame Plus is a revision of the Retrogame with the addition of an analog stick.

/!\ THERE ARE DIFFERENT VERSION OF THE RG+, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME, YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW WHICH ONE YOU OWN TO FLASH THE CORRECT FIRMWARE, BE AWARE OF THIS /!\ (https://i.imgur.com/Q2gJaVq.png)

You also need to know that the V1 has a 30hz screen, V2 has a 60hz screen and here is also an anniversary special edition (https://i.imgur.com/FwOK0Vy.png) (Relative CFW (https://rs97.bitgala.xyz/Retrogame%20Plus%20V3%20Anniversary/CFW%20full/)) that is equipped with an ips screen. Each version except the V1 is compatible with RetroFW. If you want a CFW for V1 you have to flash this instead: LINK (https://rs97.bitgala.xyz/RG_PLUS/CFW/Retrogame_Plus_V1.1_CFW_Final_19-05-19.img.7z)

So they SHOULD get [email protected] for both versions?
If yes I will try to ship my [email protected] back hahaha.

ARM, not related here.

The Bittboy is an ARM device, not MIPS like the Ingenic chipsets. The Pocket-Go contains the same chip. This device is also known as the "Miyoo" in China, so you may see it referred to by that name.

There are several threads about it in "Other Game Systems": https://boards.dingoonity.org/other-game-systems/

Hello all,

I am attempting to gather all the JZ4725B devices that are currently easily available to me.

My criteria:
A. Can be bought new, in 2019
B. Sold on Aliexpress, Ebay, or Amazon with shipping to the US (fasttech, gearbest also acceptable but not preferred).
C. Item listing and basic specs need to be in English

So far I've got
 1. RS-90v3
 2. RS-12 Arcade Mini
 3. G100 "Gamekid Advance"
 4. PMP4/Subor RS-94 with IPS

Are there any modern handhelds besides these that are confirmed to have JZ4725B?

If you know of an additional device, please notify me along with a link to a store where the item can be purchased new by westerners, today, in 2019. Looking through the forums, I know there were a whole bunch of these handhelds available some years ago, but I missed out on that first wave. In 2019 I don't want to waste time tracking down EOL hardware. I'd rather put effort towards things that people on this forum can buy today.

Happy hunting!

Need to add this bad boy to the list, it's an Ingenic-powered device (pretty much same specs as the RG-350 minus the extra thumbstick).

I think the 350H would need it's own section since it's using a different chipset from the RG350/PocketGo2 and the kernel is closed-source.

The GKD350H is also a Ingenic Device.
Yup, i was wrong about the clone chip thingy. It is actually an IOT specific ingenic compatible Soc made by ingenic themselves.
I was only able to know this by reading the datasheet.

Anyway every Ingenic JZ47xx device will be listed here except each one that already own a section (Ben Nanonote, Dingoo A320/A330/A380, GameGadget, GCW Zero, Gemei x760+/Gemei A330).

For additional informations visit Steward's website (https://steward-fu.github.io/website/) and Jutleys' website (https://retrogamehandhelds.com/index.html).

There are also two Discord Chat (1 (https://discord.gg/FzCeqvt), 2 (https://discord.gg/hvR5vK6)) where you can talk about this kind of devices.

This is a work in progress guide, if you have suggestion to improve the guide just write it up here!

Awesome list! Thanks.

RG-300

The RG-300 is an handheld with a shell reminiscent of a Gameboy with the addition of L and R buttons.

/!\ THERE ARE DIFFERENT VERSION OF THE RG-300, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME, YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW WHICH ONE YOU OWN TO FLASH THE CORRECT FIRMWARE, BE AWARE OF THIS /!\

There are actually three versions of this handheld: two of them uses an ips display and the other one don't.

The first post lists the RG-280M as a jz4760, but is it not a 4770 like the 350? I thought it was just a "lite" 350 with the same chip?
