Yeah I only took the back off see how easy it is to swap out sd card, I have left the screws out until I decide what to do, sd card extender would be good so you don't have to remove the board evey time

Did you upgrade the latest stock firmware?  I saw that @blackz1982 posted a link to that.

Or did your system come shipped with that on it?

Thanks!  One part is tricky for me.  He says he has an 8 gb USB flash drive.  Doesn't the internal card only have 4 gb?

I'm assuming this process is for connecting your handheld USB to your computer.

So why would he open it, put a new card in 8gb, and write over USB?  Why wouldn't he just write through the SD card reader and then put the card in...

Don't know any Russian to know if USB flash drive translated actually means SD card.

the card inside is only 2GB, this method is to take the SD Card out and flash the custom firmware to a bigger card at least
8GB and then use minitool to extened the pertition before puting it back in, if you have win 7 then you can use method one
USBTool to flash without taking it apart

I may want to change my internal to something bigger, but this may be a good starting point.  The comments mentioned that a new update may be coming soon.

If that has English support, I'd like to wait.  Any ideas @blackz1982 what the next update will have in it? English support?

Got this today. Had a go at installing the CFW. I've rarely used Virtualbox so it took me ages to get things going. Had to download and install Win 7 32-bit, virtualbox guest additions, jz4760 drivers etc.

But I got it done in the end! It's so late in the day now I won't have time to play with it until tomorrow.

Unofficial build almost all in English. There are no ideas when they make a new version.

Is there a video of how to take it apart to get at the card inside? Tried loosening the four screws today and found it awkward. Was afraid of breaking something as I didn't know where to apply pressure to take it apart. Some guidance would be great!

Oh really?  I didn't know there was a build in English.  Is that the same one with TV out and proper shutdown?

Can you link us to it?
