I have bought the russian handheld console Genesis Gopher 2. It's better than the first version because of the new screen size: 4.3" LCD and this handheld console can emulate :
- Sega Genesis games,
- Sega Master System,
- NES games,
- SNES,
- GBA classic,
- CPS1 games,
- some CPS2 games (7)
- some Neo-Geo games (82).

Yes but with the Gopher 2 it's not the same system look at the photos.
It seems using the RZX-50's firmware

All the advertisements say it has a 4:3 aspect ratio screen but it is clearly a widescreen. I've seen video of it playing games, they're all horribly stretched.

Anyone know if it can at least display games in the proper aspect ratio.

Crazy price considering it's very similar specs as pk3p, but I like the design so I bought one anyway. Probably won't have it for over a month though coming from Russia. Too bad the menus and settings are in Russian, but should still be fun to mess around with.

I believe it should run .dge files. I'll have mine in a couple days and find out. Will post back on findings. Cool to see some others caved in and scooped one up. Pricey but looks great. Hopefully things can happen with this system if there is enough interest.

So I received the Gopher 2 today and have only been playing with it for about an hour, but so far it's pretty awesome. If anyone has any specific easy questions I can answer just let me know, otherwise I'll try to post some more detailed initial impressions tomorrow.

Can you set the games to their proper aspect ratio like 4:3 NES/SNES/Gen or 3:2 GBA or 1:1 GB/GBC or is it stuck in... I believe it's 5:3.

Every system can be changed between 16:9 or 4:3 only. While not perfect, it's still nice that's it's there and it isn't stuck with everything being streched all the time.

On stock firmware it can't be made. Files with extension .dge aren't visible on the memory card.
