Same CFW (RetroFW) and same processor.
I think it is more or less the same compatibility of the RS-97.

I want to see more YouTube-Reviews...

Bummer. Was hoping for something with a better processor. Xperia Play at the same price seems a better option (personal opinion).

A Xperia Play for 60 Bucks? Where I can get it?

My favorit emulation handheld so far ist the GPD XD.
But I buy recently a "GameBoy Pi A+"... omg, I'm so exited!

But here on Dingoonity is no section for Raspberry Pi-Devices?

I understand this. I wonder why here nobody demand it.
There are so many good Raspberry Pi-devices on the market. From comercial products to DIY-devices... and all are wonderfull for retrogaming.

Note this is not condoning this particular seller, but there are several listed in the $60ish range. They list as refurbished, but appear to be brand new (plastic on the device, etc.)

Oh okey, I don't know that aliexpress also sells Xperia Play.
And CyanogenMod you can upgrade to Android 6.0.

Hmmm... really a good option.

That is in the same price range as a used PSP 3000, which is selling in local stores where I live.

I'm wondering if upgrading to Android 6.0 will give a signifcant boost to performance, emulators like Snes or N64 which the PSP struggling? If so then a brand new Xperia Play is a must buy here.

Android 4.4+ would make it much slower because it eats so much memory and the Xperia only has 512Mb.
Java was a mistake.

Ideally this should get a CFW like the RS-97, and while that's technically possible, (kernel source code was made available i think and Freedreno should support the 3D GPU) no one made the effort to do just that.

I dived into a Xperia play years after its release only to find it very cumbersome to get it properly configured. In the end I came back to the laters versions of the official firmware which still supported most emulators. However a lot of Android games are then no option as a newer firmware was required. Luckily I also have a GPD XD for just that...

The coolest thing (besided the premium psp-go like build quality) is how you can package psx images to play on your xperia play  :)

There are also communities like sudomod who exist for this reason alone... Have fun with your GameBoy Pi, I just recently finished my first Gameboy zero build and I am contemplating of building a Gameboy CM3+ (using Kite's circuit sword)...... expensive, but very tempting  ;D

Google "Atto Drive Xperia".  It's stripped down to nothing but emulators. Everything's preconfigured, just drop your roms in and go.

What do you find better on the LDK?

Also the power switch, can you just turn it off or do you need to power it down through software first like the Bittboy CFW?

It's RS-97 based so you can just turn it off like that. It's a bit more resilient to improper shutdowns but i would still recommend you shut it down properly still. Though unlike the RS-97, the power switch can't be used as a button unlike the RS-97 so some emulators will require some changes.

Btw, just got my LDK and it feels pretty good. The Dpad is also good though the shoulder buttons are awkwardly placed.
I would not recommend the LDK if you rely on the L & R buttons a lot but otherwise it's a solid console.
It is also fairly easy to disassemble and the internal sd card is easily accessible, you simply have to remove the battery.
